Role Overview:
The Director of Global Strategic Marketing is responsible for defining product strategy, driving upstream innovation, and leading global marketing for the MONARCH Urology platform. This leader partners across R&D and commercial teams to translate customer insights into differentiated products and deliver successful global commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Management & Portfolio Strategy: Define vision, roadmap, and lifecycle strategy aligned with global business objectives and long-range financial plan
Innovation Leadership: Partner with R&D and cross-functional development team to translate unmet clinical needs into scalable, differentiated product solutions
Global Marketing: Lead brand and value proposition development, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
Market & Customer Insights: Leverage global insights to shape pipeline, customer segmentation, and product design
Commercial Alignment: Partner with regional commercial leadership teams to drive product launches, adoption, and global expansion
Business Performance: Guide pricing frameworks, forecast modeling, and market prioritization decisions
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing product management and global marketing team; foster a data-driven, results-oriented team culture
Cross-Functional Leadership: Align with sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, legal, and finance teams to ensure cohesive global commercial execution
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in product management, marketing, strategy, or related fields with progressive scope and responsibility required
3+ years of experience building and/or managing high performance teams required
Experience in complex MedTech or robotics environments required; urology knowledge and experience preferred
Strong strategic thinking, analytics, and financial acumen; experience building business cases and gaining senior stakeholder alignment
Proven leadership ability driving cross-functional strategic initiatives with global teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to translate clinical and technical concepts into compelling value propositions
What Sets You Apart
Experience in urology, robotics, or early-stage innovation
Track record of building new categories of care and launching disruptive product platforms globally
Ability to balance long-term product strategy with both near and mid-term execution
Other:
Ability to travel up to 30% for customer visits and congresses, both domestically and internationally
This role is required to be onsite in the Santa Clara office at least 3-4 days per week
The anticipated base pay for this role is $172,000 to $297,850.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). Employees are eligible to participate in the Johnson & Johnson long-term incentive plan (LTI).
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year
Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of California/Colorado – 48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – 56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
