Job Description:

At Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything. As a Field Service Engineer supporting Biosense Webster, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and uptime of advanced electrophysiology and cardiac mapping technologies used to improve patient outcomes.

You will partner closely with healthcare professionals and customers to provide technical expertise, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades, while delivering an exceptional customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Service & Support

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for Biosense Webster products through the Customer Support organization.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade medical equipment within assigned territories.
  • Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Respond to service requests, including urgent customer support needs.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and maintain equipment performance and service records.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior Field Service Engineers.

Customer Experience

  • Build strong partnerships with physicians, nurses, biomedical engineers, and hospital stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor and advocate for customer needs.
  • Manage customer expectations proactively and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze service trends, complaints, parts utilization, and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.

Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in service management systems, including work orders and service records.
  • Manage inventory, spare parts, equipment returns (RMA), and related audits.
  • Participate in product and technical training to maintain expertise.
  • Support incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all Johnson & Johnson quality, safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain required healthcare vendor credentialing.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree and 2+ years of experience in biomedical equipment, hospital engineering, medical devices, field service, or related technical disciplines; OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting electrophysiology, cardiology, or medical device technologies.
  • Experience in hospital biomedical engineering or healthcare technical support environments.
  • Familiarity with service management systems and diagnostic test equipment.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory, including occasional short-notice travel.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle with a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments (approximately 75% field-based).
  • Must consistently follow health, safety, and compliance requirements.
