The Lead Project Analyst, Global Compensation COE is responsible for driving high‑impact projects across both year‑round and year‑end compensation processes in partnership with the broader Total Rewards and HR ecosystem. This role requires strong project management capability, demonstrated J&J Functional Project Excellence (FPX) experience, and preferred Lean Six Sigma certification to support process optimization, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
The Project leader plays a key role in enabling the Senior Manager’s strategic priorities by coordinating cross‑functional teams, executing detailed project plans, improving processes, enhancing documentation, and ensuring on‑time and high‑quality delivery of compensation programs globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end project management across year‑round and year‑end compensation initiatives, including timelines, milestones, risk assessments, issues tracking, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Apply J&J FPX methodologies to ensure project rigor, standardized execution, and consistent communication.
- Support governance for compensation processes by preparing materials, maintaining documentation, and ensuring consistent adoption of global standards.
- Manage project elements related to global survey participation, salary structure development, market pricing deliverables, and annual benchmarking cycles.
- Coordinate with HRIS/Workday, Regional Total Rewards, and global partners to support testing, data validation, and implementation activities.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives aligned with the Senior Manager’s transformation strategy.
- Support delivery of global annual compensation planning, including merit, bonus, and LTI Choice program execution.
- Lead cross‑functional workstreams, ensuring deadlines, testing cycles, data accuracy, and stakeholder readiness are achieved.
- Manage communications, training material updates, and operational support throughout the year‑end cycle.
- Use Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies to identify operational gaps, root‑cause issues, and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Partner with Senior Manager and compensation managers to redesign workflows, enhance automation, and improve auditability and controls.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, process maps, and functional documentation.
- Work closely with HRBPs, Corporate Services Total Rewards, Regional TR teams, HRIS/Workday, Finance, Communications, TR Delivery, and external vendors.
- Support vendor coordination and task management (e.g., survey providers, data platforms).
- Provide clear, concise, and consistent communication to stakeholders at all levels.
- Support development of dashboards, tracking tools, testing logs, and operational reports across programs.
- Conduct high‑quality data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of compensation deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3–5+ years of HR, compensation operations, or project management experience.
- Strong project management skills, with hands‑on J&J FPX experience.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate across global teams.
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow/Green/Black Belt).
- Experience with Workday, ServiceNow/Salesforce, Microsoft Flow/Power Automate, or other workflow automation tools.
- Familiarity with compensation processes, especially annual cycles and market pricing analytics.
- Experience in a complex, matrixed global organization.
