The Product Analyst supports product delivery within Clinical Operations by helping translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, process documentation, and reporting insights. Working closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, engineers, testers, and business partners, this role supports backlog readiness, user experience improvements, process harmonization, and continuous improvement for digital products that enable clinical operations processes and compliant delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Supports the Product Owner and squad by collecting requirements, documenting processes, and helping translate business needs into actionable backlog items.
- Partner with Clinical Operations stakeholders and the Product Owner to understand user needs and translate business needs into clear business and functional requirements for digital solutions.
- Build and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, visualizations, process flows, and supporting documentation for the squad backlog.
- Support backlog refinement and stay ahead of sprint execution by helping ensure features are clearly defined, aligned to business priorities, and ready to enter development.
- Work with developers, testers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, explain functional intent, and support a strong user experience for clinical operations users.
- Assist with user acceptance testing by helping define test scenarios, documenting encouraged results, coordinating feedback, and tracking outcomes to support high-quality releases.
- Document confirmed business processes to serve as reference for development, support, harmonization, and continuous improvement.
- Track team, product, or process metrics and prepare reports that help stakeholders measure progress, adoption, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with peer analysts, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, communicate impacts, and support aligned delivery across squads or related teams.
- Apply compliance requirements within scope of responsibility and help ensure SDLC documentation, system-related documentation, and required quality activities remain current.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, health sciences, information systems, computer science, data analytics, engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in product analysis, business analysis, digital product delivery, internships, or other relevant project-based work.
- Basic understanding of collecting requirements and translating business needs into user stories, functional requirements, or backlog items.
- Foundational understanding of business processes, digital product delivery, and agile ways of working.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills with attention to detail and ability to work across cross-functional teams.
- Interest in user needs, process improvement, reporting, metrics, and digital solutions that improve business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Clinical Operations processes, regulated environments, or clinical systems through coursework, internships, or project work.
- Experience with agile tools and practices such as Jira, Azure DevOps, backlog management, sprint planning, or user story development.
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, Excel, Power BI, or other tools used to track team or product metrics.
- Familiarity with process mapping, testing support, compliance documentation, customer or user experience concepts, or digital product delivery in healthcare or life sciences is a plus.
