We are searching for the best talent for EHS&S ENGINEER I
Purpose:
Leading occupational safety, and/or industrial hygiene and/or Environmental support to a moderate size business location, serving as the and/or health/safety/Environmental contact for site; or lead safety, industrial hygiene, and/or ergonomics program component at a large, complex location or multiple locations.
This may include providing management support to EES sites assisting conformation to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 14001 Standard & J&J Worldwide EHS Standards as related to federal, state and local regulations. Under general supervision, provide leadership to site and management for the establishment and maintenance of robust processes to identify, evaluate and control industrial hygiene, ergonomic and/or and safety risk in the workplace.
You will be responsible for:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Designs and coordinates EHS&S programs for the facilities
Enforce EHS&S laws and regulations
Implements and Improves EHS&S Management Systems
Communicates and reports performance against EHS&S goals
Follow all company EHS&S policies and other related precautions within the work area
Supports supplier evaluations for major services/products as needed
Site EHS&S Engineer is responsible for reviewing the chemical and waste room inspection reports, and all related activities to the disposal of waste.
Site EHS&S Engineer should perform Ergo Risk analysis; recommend improvements and Lead Ergo programs.
Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned depending on job assignments
Conduct EHS&S training
Lead organization EHS&S projects
Follow J&J and EES Records Management Policies for Convenience Information, Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Cleanout, Inactive Records and Information Management, Vital Records and third party vendor if applicable.
Support to keep the ISO Certification.
Follow and implement corporate requirements across the site.
Perform and monitoring the compliance with MAARS Process.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Minimum required University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent and related work experience in EHS&S.
0 to 2 years of experience.
Bilingual: English/ Spanish preferred
GMP/ ISO knowledge preferred
Knowledge of ISO14001/OHSAS 18000 preferred
Knowledge of EHS&S laws and Regulations (STPS, SEMARNAT, Mexican Compliance)
