Technology and Digital Quality Co-op Program
We are seeking highly motivated and meticulous Sophomores, Juniors and rising Seniors for the 2027 Spring Co-op within the Technology and Digital Quality organization. We work on a “hybrid model”. This means that you will be asked to report on site three (3) times a week and can work remotely two (2) times a week. If you are selected for a co-op position, you will work directly with your manager as your start date approaches to confirm your exact schedule.
This position offers a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in analyzing business processes and data, supporting decision-making processes, analyzing business challenges, formulating recommendations for improvement, and contributing to data-driven strategies across various T&DQ Functions. The ideal candidate will assist in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to help our organization make informed decisions. Below are a few examples of the types of experiences you can expect:
- Digital Product Analysis: Understand and analyze end-to-end business processes and translate needs into digital solutions by building product backlogs in the form of user stories.
- Data Ingestion and Engineering: Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing datasets for analysis from various sources such as databases, APIs, and spreadsheets.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform statistical analysis and data mining to identify patterns, correlations, and insights into business data. Develop visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to communicate data findings to key stakeholders.
- AI and Automation: Create automated workflows for data extraction, transformation, and reporting using Python, R, or SQL. Contribute to the adoption of AI and digital technologies by supporting validation activities that enable innovative solutions while maintaining regulatory and compliance standards.
- Support Decision-Making: Assist in analyzing data to support business decisions and pivotal initiatives and partnering to put together recommendations for leadership.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including QA-Ops, JJRC, finance and operations to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Document methodologies, processes, and results to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.
Not only will you develop your analytical skills through on-the-job assignments. You will:
- Improve your industry knowledge through open forum conversations with senior company leaders and shadowing of T&DQ personnel.
- Work in a fast-paced, technologically sophisticated corporate environment in a Co-op program focused on developing individual analysts capable of pursuing careers across pharmaceutical and medical device businesses.
- Build or improve your personal brand through skills building workshops and networking mixers.
- Present your learnings and development experience to leadership.
- Have the power to connect with and support our local towns through community activities.
To be considered for the T&DQ 2027 Spring Co-op program, you must meet the following requirements:
- Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future (F1, H1B, CPT, OPT or STEM OPT require sponsorship in future).
- Enrollment (not necessarily taking classes) in an accredited college/university during the Internship. By start date, student must be considered an undergraduate sophomore or above. Master’s students must have earned undergraduate degree on or after June 2027.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in science, communications, regulatory compliance, quality, finance, data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, supply chain, or technology related field.
- Ability to clearly present data findings and interpretations to both technical and non-technical partners.
- Ability to break down challenging problems into manageable components and derive actionable insights.
- Understanding statistical concepts such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and data distribution.
- Ability to work through challenges logically and deliver solutions efficiently.
- Ability to provide their own transportation to this location and to/from work every day.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week) for the whole term.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities.
- Previous internship, Co-Op, or academic experience in a related field.
- Basic proficiency in data analysis tools Python, R, or SQL, and visualization tools Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
- Familiarity with Cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Basic proficiency in IA tools, such as Power Platform
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and AI platforms/LLMs and tools.
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or other project delivery methodologies.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
The expected pay range for this position is between $23.50 per hour and $52.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
