Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for an Analyst, Benefits - North America, located in Bogota, Colombia.


Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.


The Analyst, Benefits - North America is part of the Global Services Human Resources (GS HR) organization and supports the delivery and administration of employee benefit programs across North America. This role serves as a key resource for employees, managers, vendors, and HR partners by providing benefits expertise, resolving complex inquiries, supporting benefit operations, and ensuring a high-quality employee experience.


This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across multiple countries, contribute to process improvements, support annual benefit events and program implementations, and help ensure compliance with benefit plan policies and regulatory requirements. The role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys problem solving, customer service, and working in a fast-paced, global environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Tier 2.0 and Tier 1.5 benefits cases, researching and resolving complex employee inquiries related to North America benefit programs.
  • Provide support for leave of absence and time-off programs, ensuring timely case resolution and accurate administration.
  • Partner with external vendors, including benefit administrators and insurance providers, to resolve escalated issues and maintain service excellence.
  • Support annual enrollment and renewal activities, including testing, employee communications, issue resolution, and process execution.
  • Assist with the implementation of new benefit programs, plan changes, and ongoing enhancements across North America.
  • Interpret benefit policies, plan provisions, and program guidelines, escalating exceptions and unique situations as needed.
  • Maintain benefit plan documentation and ensure employee-facing resources remain accurate and up to date.
  • Support the development and distribution of employee communications related to benefit programs, enrollment, leave, and wellness initiatives.
  • Perform benefits-related transactions and data management activities using HR systems, including operational processes, integrations, and reporting support.
  • Assist with administration of government/social benefits, insurance programs, pension plans, fleet programs, and flexible work arrangements where applicable within designated markets.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and operational excellence across benefits services.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or HR-related certification is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Total Rewards, Shared Services, Payroll, or a related function.
  • Experience supporting employee benefit programs and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and case management skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and plan documentation accurately.
  • Experience working with HR systems and maintaining confidential employee information.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting North America benefits programs, including health and welfare, leave administration, retirement, and insurance plans.
  • Experience working within a shared services or HR operations environment.
  • Knowledge of benefit vendors, enrollment platforms, and HR technology solutions.
  • Experience supporting annual enrollment or benefits implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of Workday, case management tools, or HR service delivery platforms.
  • Experience analyzing benefit data and preparing operational reports.
  • Continuous improvement, process optimization, or project support experience.

Other:

  • Language Requirements: Fluent English required; Spanish preferred.
  • Travel: Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • Certifications: HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Colombia.
