This position is responsible for coordinating, planning, and scheduling all preventive, corrective, calibration, and special projects work orders and activities. Collaborates with engineers, production supervisors, technicians supervisors, manufacturing/maintenance technicians, calibration technicians, and contractors to ensures the preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration process is running efficiently and effectively. Also, serves as back-up of any other regular positions that supports the Maintenance Program as required by direct supervisor. Adheres to environmental / safety policies, procedures, and supports department environmental / safety objectives.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and plans all preventive, corrective, calibration, and special projects work orders (WO) and activities issued by the Añasco Site.
Receives and processes Maintenance Department Job plans and estimates, and coordinates WO related to repairs, preventive maintenance (PM), and predictive maintenance.
Reviews WO, clarifies details, and obtains approval in coordination with WO originators. Completes WOs within established due dates.
Prepares jobs estimates for labor, time, materials/spare parts, and external contractor services, as needed.
Coordinates availability of equipment, facilities, and/or machinery required to perform WO and reduce business impact in coordination with Añasco Planning Team and Operations.
Weekly review and audit for completeness and correctness PM and WO documentation. Ensuring records are accurate and completed at CMMS system. Compliance - (Ex. Maintenance PM & WO Issues and closing process).
Maintain and report assigned performance metrics Ex. (Not limited) o PM work orders timeliness, CM work orders backlog, etc.
Integrates the calibration schedule with maintenance work and tasks to maximize resources efficiency, and support calibrations plan as needed.
Checks parts availability for planned jobs and reserves/orders against the WO number.
Ensures the proper utilization of workforce distribution, according to the nature and magnitude of the tasks included in the WO.
Trains Añasco Site Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) users, and provides coaching, as required.
Prepares maintenance schedules for Añasco Site mechanics/technicians, as needed.
Provides WO requirements to Añasco Team during shutdown activities.
Maintains reports and creates action plans as required for maintenance metrics.
Generates new and revises current PM, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and forms, as required.
Generates CMMS reports to measure Añasco equipment cost and maintenance performance.
Plans and monitors contractors performance/project completion status for Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective WO.
Observes all company policies, procedures, programs, systems, rules, and regulations always. Also comply with Safety, Environmental, Quality, Records Management, Human Resources, and Security areas.
Provides support to the ISO 14001 Team member of his/her department and to the Environmental Management System Coordinator for training and continuous improvement of the organization's ISO 14001 system.
Follows all guidelines established in the organization for the continuous improvement of the ISO 14001 system.
Occasionally requires working overtime, holidays and weekends.
Support the calibration performance metrics such as turnaround time, out of tolerance report closing time, and data entry to be used to control activities of the calibration process, as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in a technical field such as electrical, mechanical, electronics and instrumentation is required. Bachelor Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience working with Preventive Maintenance, Inventory Control, Calibrations, and other related systems/programs is required.
Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and writing).
Knowledge in Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel is required.
Team Oriented, Organized, and Time Structured, Masters Complexity, Interdependent, Good Relationship with Customers.
