Job Description:

Data Science Intern – Advanced Analytics

Duration: 8–12 Month Internship

About the Role

BioAdvance is seeking a Data Science Intern to support analytics initiatives across machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions within the healthcare and patient support landscape. This role provides hands-on experience working with real‑world data, analytics tools, and cross‑functional partners to develop insights, prototypes, and performance reporting that support decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze structured datasets to identify trends and insights

  • Support the development and evaluation of machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI use cases (e.g., autonomous agents, workflow orchestration, decision support)

  • Assist with experimentation and prototyping involving LLMs, GenAI tools, and AI agents

  • Build dashboards, reports, and KPIs using analytics and visualization tools

  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business partners

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support analytics and data strategy initiatives

  • Ensure responsible data use, data quality, and compliance with privacy requirements (e.g., PIPEDA)

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field

  • Experience with Python and/or R and SQL for data analysis

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Generative AI and large language models (LLMs)

  • Familiarity with agentic AI concepts (e.g., AI agents, tool‑calling, orchestration frameworks, multi‑step workflows)

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and model evaluation

  • Prior academic or internship experience working with real‑world datasets

The Global Commercial Strategic Marketing Co-Op is supporting the TAR-200 global brand strategy team, including delivery of strategic and marketing deliverables, internal and external engagement and execution of projects via agencies. This role will partner closely and support key GCSO functions, such as Medical Affairs and Market Access as well as liaising with other cross-functional partners including, analytics, market research & competitive intelligence, as well as the broader global commercial teams, to deliver TAR-200 commercial strategy across all key regions, globally.

Reporting to the Director, Global Commercial Strategic Marketing – TAR-200 Bladder this individual will support across all GCSO marketing functions within the brand, as per the business need and to ensure exposure and learning opportunity across the portfolio of activities. This individual will be working in an agile environment and will gain exposure to both internal cross-functional partners, regional partners and field teams as well as external agency partners and vendors.

The individual in this role is interested in exploring brand execution within the marketing function & will have a strong command of project management skills.

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

Marketing Execution and Delivery Role will be inclusive of the below:

Will be involved in leading the execution of various marketing materials and playbooks designed for our regional counterparts to utilize for upcoming launches

Will be involved in cross-functional working on various marketing projects needed for regional deployment

Will be part of the marketing team who will utilize market research and customer insights and ensure they are incorporated into all marketing projects

Will be a key agency contact for projects he/she leads regarding execution to deliver TAR-200 commercial strategy across all key regions, globally.

Project Management: Drive planning and execution of key TAR-200 activities and processes, such as end to end planning of key external Oncology meetings/engagements, tracking business performance, drive team meetings in alignment with objectives, help monitor execution of planned activities.

Required Minimum Education: BA/BS

Required Years of Related Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience through employment or education; ideally with some marketing experience (and/or sales experience)

  • Currently pursuing a MS or MBA with a minimum GPA of 3.0 at an accredited university

  • Undergraduate degree in science, pharmaceuticals, business (marketing)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

(Include any required computer skills, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)

  • Skilled in project management and budget tracking

  • Experience leading continuous process improvement initiatives and delivery projects against tight timelines

  • Experience with industry sales/marketing or technology strongly preferred

  • Strong leadership agility and demonstrated success solving ambiguous business challenges

  • Self-directed and motivated

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$22.00/hr to $32.00/hr

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Business Roles: The base pay for this position is Second Year $22.00/hr, Third Year $23.50/hr, Fourth Year $24.50/hr, Master’s degree $27.00/hr. The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in Canada.
