We are searching for the best talent for Project Management Engineer II

Purpose:

The Project Management Engineer is an engineer proficient on project management, capable of providing tracking, supervision, execution, coordination and management to projects related to engineering along supply chain. Must be able as needed to direct and lead different projects related to engineering. At this level, the position has a great degree of impact on the business results and typically, responsibility for managing a group of professionals.

You will be responsible for:

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate
Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Lead engineering projects ensuring that projects.

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans using standard project management tools (charter, Gantt chart, etc).

  • Prepare/review capital & expense forecasts for assigned projects. Prepare capital authorization requests

  • Report status on assigned projects in various formats to various organizational levels.

  • Manage the NCR and CAPA process by documenting, investigating, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for product non-conformances.

  • Ensure effective use of engineering and quality systems and adherence to quality system regulations

  • Ensure all OSHA and J &J Machine Guarding requirements are met.

  • Follow the BWI design control process for all applicable projects.

  • Perform process validations on new, transferred or modified processes.

  • Ensure compliance to the quality policy in all activities.

  • Support and promote the safety and industrial hygiene objective of the plant

  • Utilizes Process Excellence methodology and tools to identify and implement improvement projects geared to reduce cost, eliminate scrap, improve quality and minimize cycle time

  • Establishes specific manufacturing capability technology to support transfers and new product introduction

  • Provides specific technical expertise to support special projects, pilot operations, product and process improvements; and also provides input to develop capital expense forecast and equipment/spare parts budgets to support business needs

  • Provides support to product inquiry investigations

  • Sustain supply chain continuity by qualifying and validating supplier tooling as per component approval procedures.

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned

  • Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs

  • Host project meetings at least once a week with team and managers

  • Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members

  • Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness

  • Leadership qualities, such as motivation techniques and conflict-management

  • Computer literacy for spreadsheet and word processing software

  • Time management skills, especially familiarity with calendar management and goal setting

  • Familiarity with the work being done by each team member

  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

  • Leads small to medium scope projects with defined objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Develops and executes project plans using standard tools
    (charters, Gantt charts, etc.).

  • Tracks and reports project status to stakeholders.

  • Supports NCR/CAPA activities including documentation, investigation, and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Ensures compliance with quality systems, safety regulations, and engineering standards.

  • Participates in process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new or modified processes.

  • Supports cost reduction, quality improvement, and cycle time initiatives using Process Excellence tools.

  • Provides technical support for manufacturing processes, product transfers, and new product introductions.

  • Coordinates project meetings and supports team execution under guidance.

  • Assists in budget tracking and capital request preparation.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree preferable in related field

  • Approximate experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform
    the position responsibilities

  • From 2-4 years minimum professional experience is required

  • Ability to Solve Equipment Problems related to Engineering elements

  • Interpretation skills of performance metrics such as OEE, Downtime, Yield and Others.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office preferably.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent Project Management skills

  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing activities, roles and their supply chain end-to-end impact.

  • Bilingual: Spanish / English preferably.

  • Personal computer skills.

  • Use of measurement equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)

  • Experience or Related Training Working with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Ability to Work Various Shifts or Overtime When Necessary.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and obtain good results individually and as a team.

  • Manufacturing Experience in the Medical Industry (Preferably).

  • Six Sigma or Lean certification as Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred.

  • Project management experience or background
