At J&J, we’re proud to offer one of the most comprehensive benefit portfolios to help you thrive at work and at home. Our benefits vary by country. At a minimum, all J&J employees receive these benefits, but your country might offer more.

1. Global paid leave  

Time away from work is essential to recharge, and we know that life’s important moments come in many forms. We want you to be there for your family for the milestones, like adding a child to your family. But we also want you to take care of yourself and your family when you need it the most.  

That’s why we offer:  

  1. 12 weeks of paid leave during the first year of bringing a new child into your family, whether through the birth of a child, adoption, a new foster child placement, or surrogacy. If the country where you live or work has different leave policies than our global benefits, your benefits will be set by your local laws.
  2. 10 days per year of paid leave to take care of immediate family members who are critically ill or injured
  3. Up to 30 days of dedicated paid leave for bereavement for the loss of an immediate family member, including a parent/stepparent, sibling/stepsibling, spouse/partner, child or stepchild. We believe taking time to heal from the loss of a loved one should never be an additional worry.

 2. Global Well-being Reimbursement  

Your health and well-being journey are unique to you, which means you choose what makes you feel your best. You can get reimbursed annually for select eligible activities from a variety of options that promote total well-being and support your journey to a healthier lifestyle.  

Our reimbursement options include:   

  • Indoor and outdoor fitness equipment  
  • Fees for races or sports leagues  
  • Cooking classes  
  • Healthy meal subscriptions  
  • Nutrition counseling  
  • Mindfulness apps 
  • Financial education courses on budgeting, investing and more  
  • Online financial tools

3. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & CARE Services 

Mental health is an essential part of your overall health. We want you to have the support you need during times of stress and hardship, and feel supported as you navigate life transitions, work on personal goals and improve relationships. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & CARE services are free mental well-being resources.

They include: 

  • 24/7 crisis support for you or your family during urgent situations  
  • 24/7 access to consultants for financial and legal questions, major life events and more  
  • Coaching guidance to help you achieve personal goals  
  • Grief support
