Position Summary
The Manager / Senior Manager Supply Chain, China Surgery Broad Market is a China‑based supply chain leader responsible for end‑to‑end supply strategy and execution for the Surgery broad market across China. This role drives supply reliability, cost‑to‑serve optimization and launch readiness for procedure‑driven surgical products. The role partners closely with China commercial (broad market sales and distributor management), Manufacturing, Quality & Regulatory, Procurement, Planning, and Global Supply Chain teams to ensure product availability, allocation during constraints, and operational excellence while meeting regulatory and patient‑safety requirements.
The role’s scope of responsibilities include:
- Lead China supply chain strategy for the Surgery broad market portfolio: demand‑supply alignment, inventory policy, allocation rules and service level targets.
- Fully engage in IBP execution for surgery broad market: coordinate demand inputs from broad market sales, confirm supply commitments, support capacity planning and drive executive escalation for constrained SKUs.
- Manage inventory and working capital: optimize safety stock, reduce obsolescence through good governance of life cycle management
- Drive launch readiness and execution for new product introductions and market rollouts: define supply plans, staging and buffer strategies, and allocation principles.
- Partner with channel management function to well manage national exclusive distributor and DT2 for better service to end customers of hospitals
- Implement process improvements and digital initiatives to improve planning cadence, transparency and decision‑making for IBP maturity

Required Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Uncompromised requirements for the role):

- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of progressive supply chain experience; experience in MedTech/medical devices, life sciences, or other regulated, procedure‑driven industries required.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi‑province planning and distribution across China, including working with hospital procurement, distributors and consignment models.
- Functional expertise: Proven track record leading S&OP / IBP processes, launch readiness and allocation during constrained supply situations.
- Regulatory & quality: Strong understanding of China import/export considerations, lot traceability, recalls and quality‑driven supply processes.
- Systems skills: Experience with planning and ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC/S4 and IBP, Kinaxis, Oracle or equivalent) and analytics/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Stakeholder skills: Strong commercial partnering and influencing skills with ability to present trade‑offs to broad market sales, distributor and manufacturing stakeholders.
- Languages: Fluent in Mandarin and English (business proficiency).
- Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel (hospital and distributor sites, cross‑country meetings).
