HR Data & Intelligence sits at the heart of Johnson & Johnson’s HR Digital ecosystem, architecting the intelligence layer that shapes how the company understands, engages, and mobilizes its global workforce. Within this organization, the Reporting & Visualization team is responsible for building standardized, enterprise‑grade reporting and visualization assets that form part of the broader HR analytics ecosystem.

The Manager, Reporting & Visualization Lead is responsible for building and maintaining standardized reporting and visualization assets that form part of the HR enterprise analytics ecosystem, supporting consistent insight delivery over time. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Visualization & Decision Products, this role leads a small team of reporting and visualization builders and serves as a hands‑on technical authority for how workforce data is visualized and consumed across the organization.

This role designs, builds, and governs enterprise‑grade reports and dashboards across a suite of supported platforms, including Visier, Tableau, Power BI, Workday, and Databricks. With a strong emphasis on quality, usability, and reuse, the Manager, Reporting & Visualization Lead translates trusted data and analytic outputs into clear, intuitive visual representations that support workforce understanding and decision‑making.

This is a builder‑led role, combining people leadership with deep technical execution. The role partners closely with data and HR stakeholders to ensure reporting and visualization assets are aligned to certified data sources, consistent definitions, and enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade reporting and visualization assets across supported platforms, including Visier, Tableau, Power BI, Workday, and Databricks, ensuring accuracy, usability, and performance

  • Serve as a hands‑on technical lead, personally building complex dashboards, reports, and visualizations for high‑impact workforce and HR use cases

  • Manage and coach a small team of reporting and visualization builders, setting technical standards, conducting design reviews, and ensuring consistent quality across outputs

  • Translate curated data products, analytics outputs, and workforce metrics into clear, intuitive visual representations that support interpretation and decision‑making

  • Establish and enforce visualization standards, reusable patterns, and best practices (e.g., metric representation, hierarchy, layout, accessibility) across platforms

  • Partner with Data Science, Data Platform, Data Product, Data Quality, and HR stakeholders to ensure reporting assets align to certified data sources, definitions, and enterprise standards

  • Continuously improve the scalability, maintainability, and performance of reporting and visualization assets, addressing technical debt and consolidating duplicative views

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 5 years of experience designing and building reports and visualizations in enterprise analytics environments

  • Demonstrated hands on experience building visualizations across multiple platforms, including Visier, Tableau, Power BI, and Workday reporting

  • Experience building or sourcing visualizations directly from Databricks or lakehouse based data platforms

  • Strong understanding of workforce, HR, or people analytics data and how it is interpreted by different audiences

  • Proven ability to design clear, intuitive, and decision-ready visualizations from complex data sets

  • Experience leading or mentoring other reporting or visualization builders, including setting standards and reviewing work

  • Strong attention to data accuracy, consistency, performance, and visual usability

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting enterprise‑grade or executive‑level reporting and dashboards

  • Familiarity with semantic layers, curated data products, or analytics engineering outputs

  • Experience working in environments with both operational and analytical reporting models

  • Exposure to visual design, accessibility, and data storytelling best practices

  • Experience partnering with data science, data platform, data product, and HR stakeholders in a matrixed organization

Other:

This position is located in Bangalore or Pune, India, or Manila, Philippines full-time and may require up to 10% travel, both domestic and international.
