Oversee a global footprint of external manufacturers, with primary focus on Jabil, to deliver service, quality, cost, analytics, risk management, supplier development, PO‑to‑goods‑receipt execution, and NPI launch readiness.
Represent DePuy Synthes and EMSI interests with Jabil and other strategic external manufacturing partners, informing supply agreements and contractual terms that promote reliability, business continuity, and win‑win outcomes.
Align with External Operations Planning to translate short‑, mid‑, and long‑term demand and capacity requirements into executable external supply plans that support global demand, inventory, and service targets.
Lead the External Manufacturer Supplier S&OP process and ensure outputs are integrated into the global supply plan and the end‑to‑end supply chain strategy for worldwide instrumentation.
Proactively identify supplier constraints and extended supply chain risks that may result in service disruption and lead cross‑functional mitigation strategies to protect continuity of supply.

Lead short‑term event management (STEM) and long‑term structural recovery efforts to address supply disruptions and systemic performance issues.
Define and evolve EMSI integration within NPI, M&A, and technology transfer processes to ensure launch readiness, seamless transitions, and continuity of supply.
Partner cross‑functionally with Source Category Management, External Engineering, Quality, Product Management, and Planning to clarify roles, prioritize resources, close change controls, and deliver the external supply network strategy.
Oversee adherence to project, operating, and resource budgets; ensure compliance with Quality and EHS&S requirements; and benchmark internal and external best‑in‑class practices to continuously improve external manufacturing capabilities.
