The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading the Formulations and Raw Materials Warehouse organizations supporting Jacksonville manufacturing operations, R&D activities, and new product introductions. This role provides leadership for warehouse operations, inventory management, production support, and third-party logistics activities while ensuring the reliable supply of raw materials and formulations needed to meet production objectives.

The Manager is accountable for operational performance, budget management, compliance, personnel development, and continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and formulation support operations. This position ensures adherence to GMP, quality, environmental, health and safety, and regulatory requirements while driving operational excellence in safety, quality, service, cost, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the Formulations and Raw Materials Warehouse teams, including support for production, R&D, and new product activities.
  • Accountable for operational performance, budget ownership, personnel leadership, and service delivery across formulations and warehouse operations and in support of business needs
  • Oversight of internal and external warehouse operations, raw material flow, receiving, storage, inventory control, and support for multi-plant monomer manufacturing.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, compliance, cost, schedule, and service performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Operations, Quality Compliance, Finance, and other departments to resolve issues and support business needs.
  • Drives continuous improvement in quality, productivity, cost, space utilization, inventory control, equipment, facilities, and processes.
  • Responsibility for GMP, FDA, J&J, EHS, regulatory, audit, non-conformance, CAPA, and quality system compliance.
  • Directly supervises, develops, trains, and motivates team members, with emphasis on capability building, engagement, safety, and quality mindset.
  • Reviews operational results in the areas of safety, quality, cost, and schedule; and initiatives changes to address non-conformities.
  • Ensures adherence to all J&J requirements and other regulatory/EHS requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Manage third-party logistics providers and warehouse service partners to ensure service, compliance, and cost expectations are achieved.
  • Recruit, lead, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing team while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Logistics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading warehouse, supply chain, manufacturing support, or materials management operations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and material flow processes.
  • Experience working within GMP-regulated environments and quality systems.
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations, compliance requirements, and audit readiness practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing operational budgets and controlling costs.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functional areas.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Master's Degree (MBA, MS, or related field).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and external warehouse operations.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience leading capital improvements, facility upgrades, or process optimization projects.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational excellence, inventory optimization, and productivity improvements.
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI) and manufacturing scale-up activities.
