Job Description:

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the J&J Vision Plan Excellence (PEX) team, the Plan Excellence Digital Manager leads a small team to develop and maintain digital tools to enhance capabilities of the JJV Plan organization; responsibilities for the Digital Manager include both technical development as well as people management.
  • Stand up an intake process to evaluate project requests for business case value proposition, resource requirements, risks and timeline. Determine if the PEX Digital team is the right developer for the solution or not.
  • Engage additional stakeholders from Plan Excellence, IT or other teams as necessary to design and implement projects with the most optimal solution. Communicate project requirements and updates effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Work with project requestors to fully understand all requirements and stay connected to ensure alignment throughout the duration of a project until completion.
  • Develop digital capabilities that improve efficiency and/or close capability gaps where current system solutions are not available.
  • Majority of solutions will be delivered in Databricks with Python/SQL, Alteryx and Tableau. Exploration of other platforms may be possible.
  • High expectation to drive an agile environment, requiring high degree of understanding of the supply chain Plan function, including Planning systems and data processes. Structure the team and work to respond with flexibility.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities for maintaining digital solutions if issues arise; respond with appropriate urgency to mitigate business impact.
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives to streamline data-related processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Quickly gain knowledge to learn the current processes related to the department and the end-to-end information needed to understand and assess the impact of data to the business and systems upstream and downstream of where the department is engaged and key to these processes.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation for area of responsibility. May include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), protocols, data quality catalogs, and other policy and procedure documents.

    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years of experience as a developer in digital platforms. People management experience required.Attention to details required.Strong analytical skills required.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Supply chain systems experience, preferably in Plan-related data. Supply Chain Plan experience with strong understanding of major data elements and business processes. Development expertise in at least one ETL platform required. Development expertise in at least one front-end visualization platform required. Proficiency in SQL required. Alteryx experience strongly preferred. Dataiku experience strongly preferred. Tableau experience strongly preferred. Databricks experience strongly preferred. Python experience strongly preferred. Experience with SAP data preferred. Experience with OMP data preferred. MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) required. Strong written, oral, and presentation skills required. Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple partners at all levels, and establish common goals and objectives without sacrificing outcomes. Ability to contribute on a diverse, multicultural, and partially remote team. Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives within timelines where priorities may change rapidly.

    Preferred Related Industry Experience:

    Programming and development of digital tools in an agile environment. Data management experience in the context of large ERP platforms
