HR Data & Intelligence sits at the heart of Johnson & Johnson’s HR Digital ecosystem, architecting the intelligence layer that shapes how the company understands, engages, and mobilizes its global workforce. This organization builds and operationalizes enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI capabilities that do more than inform decisions—they reshape how HR plans, predicts, personalizes, and performs. By unifying data science, employee listening, knowledge management, and responsible AI, HR Data & Intelligence is transforming workforce signals into strategic advantage, ensuring HR is not only insight-led and future-ready, but a trusted steward of ethical, human-centered intelligence at scale. Within this ecosystem, Data Services is the business-owned data platform capability that ensures HR data is trusted, scalable, and analytics-ready.

The Senior HR Data Quality Analyst is an experienced individual contributor reporting to the HR Data Quality Manager, accountable for defining, executing, and continuously improving data quality standards and controls across assigned HR domain areas. This role owns HR core data standards, business rules, and quality measurements for their domains, and works hands‑on to ensure data issues are resolved systemically, not just operationally.

This role partners closely with HR Data Operations, HR Data Stewards, and Knowledge Management to identify data quality risks, lead business rule discovery, and drive durable improvements to data quality at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own HR data quality standards, business rules, and controls for assigned HR domain areas, including definition, documentation, and ongoing refinement
  • Lead business rule discovery for core HR data elements by partnering with HR data stewards and HR process owners
  • Define, implement, and maintain data quality rules, validation checks, and monitoring logic to prevent recurring data quality issues
  • Continuously measure Content Quality Index (CQI) and Data Quality Index (DQI) for Critical Data Elements within assigned domains, and identify improvement areas
  • Partner closely with HR Data Operations to investigate data issues, support root‑cause analysis, and ensure issues are resolved sustainably
  • Work with HR Data Stewards to ensure recurring data issues are addressed through process, standard, or upstream system changes—not manual fixes
  • Analyze data quality trends to identify systemic risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities across HR data flows
  • Support HR process or system changes (e.g., Workday releases, policy updates, new use cases) by ensuring data standards and quality controls are updated accordingly for assigned HR domain areas
  • Communicate data quality insights, risks, and progress clearly to HR, Data, and Technology stakeholders
  • Contribute to the evolution of HR data quality practices, tooling, automation, and operating routines

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR data quality, HR data governance, or HR data operations within a large, complex organization
  • Demonstrated experience defining data quality rules, validation logic, and controls
  • Hands‑on experience analyzing data to investigate quality issues and validate fixes
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and issue investigation
  • Strong ability to perform root‑cause analysis across process, policy, and system dimensions
  • Familiarity with Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) or similar data quality tooling
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain data quality issues in business terms

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of core HR processes and employee lifecycle data (hire, move, pay, learn, exit)
  • Experience working with Workday HR data (functional understanding)
  • Experience automating transactional or operational data quality checks
  • Experience supporting HR data in a global or multi‑region environment
  • Familiarity with agile or iterative delivery models
