DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Manager, TA Innovation, located in Raynham, Massachusetts.

Job Overview

The Manager, TA Innovation plays a critical role in advancing how DePuy Synthes attracts, engages, and hires top talent. This role leads the design and implementation of innovative talent acquisition solutions, leveraging technology, data, and process optimization to improve candidate experience, recruiter effectiveness, and hiring outcomes. The role partners closely with HR, Talent Acquisition leaders, and cross‑functional stakeholders to scale best‑in‑class recruiting practices aligned with business growth and workforce strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence enterprise‑level TA transformation within a global MedTech organization and deliver measurable impact across recruiting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Talent Acquisition innovation initiatives, including new tools, technologies, and scalable recruiting solutions.

  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency, quality of hire, and candidate experience through process redesign and digital enablement.

  • Partner with HR, TA leadership, HRIS, and external vendors to pilot, implement, and optimize TA platforms and solutions.

  • Translate business and workforce needs into practical TA innovation roadmaps and implementation plans.

  • Establish metrics and dashboards to measure the effectiveness and adoption of TA innovations and drive continuous improvement.

  • Support change management, training, and communication strategies to ensure successful adoption of new TA capabilities.

  • Stay current on external market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in talent acquisition and recruitment innovation.

  • Act as a thought partner to TA leaders, providing insights and recommendations that support strategic hiring priorities.

Where required to be managed locally:

  • Document handling: Print, stamp/seal, mail/ship, distribute, and route documents for wet signatures.

  • Records management: Store/archive/retrieve HR documents; fulfill requests; coordinate offsite storage; scan and name for Veeva.

  • Compliance/admin: Upload/submit filings; print and hand-deliver to agencies; support audits and onsite audit coordination.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Analytics, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Typically requires 6–8 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, or recruiting operations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting TA transformation, innovation, or technology initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end recruiting processes and candidate experience.

  • Experience working with TA systems (ATS, CRM, recruitment marketing platforms, analytics tools).

  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional projects and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization, preferably within MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences.

  • Background in change management, process improvement, or agile project delivery.

  • Experience leveraging data and insights to inform TA strategy and decision‑making.

  • Familiarity with emerging recruiting technologies such as automation, AI, or skills‑based hiring tools.

  • Prior people leadership or project team leadership experience.

Other:

  • Language: English required.

  • Travel: Up to 10–20%, primarily domestic.

  • Certifications: HR or project management certifications (e.g., SHRM, PMP, Agile) preferred but not required.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
