The position is responsible for establishing the end-to-end outbound freight capability, including process standards, functional requirements, and integration points across Order-to-Cash (OTC), warehouse operations, and transportation execution. This includes defining how outbound freight is executed across J&J-operated and 3PL-operated sites, ensuring alignment between business processes, systems capabilities, and partner execution models.
The role works closely with Systems Strategy, Network Design, Partner Management, and regional teams to ensure outbound freight capabilities are clearly defined, consistently deployed, and aligned with transformation objectives, including service, cost, and scalability targets.

Define business requirements and capability needs for outbound freight, ensuring alignment with Order-to-Cash processes and upstream/downstream dependencies
Partner with Systems Strategy and IT teams to translate business requirements into system capabilities (e.g., transport execution tools, carrier integration, labeling solutions)
Define deployment frameworks and playbooks to support consistent rollout of outbound freight capabilities across sites and regions
Ensure alignment between outbound freight capability and 3PL partner capabilities, including defining minimum requirements and integration expectations
Collaborate with Network Design and Value Assurance teams to ensure outbound freight capability assumptions are reflected in business cases and network decisions
Define KPIs and performance measurement frameworks for outbound freight execution, including service, cost, and operational efficiency metrics
Identify gaps in current outbound freight processes and capabilities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and scalability
Support governance forums by providing visibility into capability definition, deployment progress, and key risks or dependencies
Ensure alignment between outbound freight capability and contractual frameworks, including coordination with Procurement and Partner Management teams
Capture and standardize best practices and lessons learned to continuously refine capability frameworks and support future deployments
