We are searching for the best talent for Senior Logistics Process Engineer to be based in Schiphol.
We’re hiring a hands-on Senior Logistics Process Engineer to own and improve warehousing and weigh & dispense processes in our central Schiphol‑Rijk site. You’ll work closely with operations, engineering, and management to keep processes efficient, compliant, and aligned with production goals — driving measurable improvements that protect product quality and reduce downtime!
This role supports the Operations unit and requires regular presence on the shopfloor and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders. English at B2 level is required.
What You'll Do
Own and optimize critical logistics processes
- Lead and continuously improve warehouse and weigh & dispense processes, ensuring efficient, compliant, and reliable operations.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives that enhance safety, quality, service levels, and cost performance.
- Monitor process performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead process implementation and technology transfers
- Manage the introduction, transfer, and implementation of new processes and operational capabilities.
- Partner with operations teams to ensure seamless process handovers and successful floor execution.
- Translate technical requirements into robust operational procedures, including SOPs, work instructions, and master batch records.
Drive quality, compliance, and risk management
- Ensure processes consistently operate within GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigations related to deviations, non-conformances, CAPAs, and change controls to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions.
- Act swiftly to resolve process issues that could impact product quality, compliance, or operational performance.
Lead continuous improvement
- Utilize data analytics, trend analysis, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct Gemba walks and collaborate with frontline teams to drive sustainable operational enhancements.
- Deliver measurable improvements in safety, reliability, throughput, scheduling, and cost efficiency.
Serve as a subject matter expert
- Lead acceptance testing and implementation activities for new processes and equipment.
- Support internal and external audits as the logistics process expert.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex operational and compliance challenges.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree (HBO level or equivalent) in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, this is a must have.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulated operational environments, this is a must have.
- Experience leading process improvement, deviation investigations, CAPA management, and change control activities.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP.
Preferred Competencies
- Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive organizational change.
- Structured, proactive, and results-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
