Job Description:

Job Description – MSAT Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities: As a core member of the MSAT Team, the MSAT Staff Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the business unit, optimizing process and cleaning in line with business drivers, leading new innovations and improvements in the business unit whilst, ensuring efficient manufacturing and compliance with GMP & EH&S standards at all times.

Responsibilities can include:

  • Participate in equipment and process HAZOP studies so that potential problems are identified and designed out of processes
  • Support EH&S safety data files including collaboration with safety test center team for additional support data
  • Manage & execute the process validation and cleaning program for new and existing products. Issue & review validation plan, protocols and reports.
  • Manage & execute Continued Process Verification program.
  • Manage & execute supplier qualifications.
  • Lead and complete complex investigations (Out of Specification (OOS) events, Out of trend (OOT) events, Cleaning events)
  • Develop re-processing /rework strategies, test methods and protocols.
  • Provide technical expertise in both API, Cleaning and Aseptic processing areas
  • Technical support / direct participation in partnership with Quality / Operations on any regulatory audits and inspection requirement
  • Lead / support process improvement projects, including new technology / analytics introduction (e.g. MVA, PAT)
  • Innovate and deliver in Continuous improvement projects, cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects in manufacturing and business processes using JJPS
  • Be the site MSAT representative in API group or NPI project team including as examples, Process / validation teams Cleaning teams, PAT teams MAM & Maintenance Support Partner with Engineering & Maintenance and contribute to equipment changes / introduction projects on the site
  • Represent MSAT in engineering projects and coordinate small engineering projects.
  • Provides process / technology input to SOP’s, Master Batch Records and change controls Support plant based operations decisions by providing lab scale experimental data.
  • Support ad-hoc process investigations by providing technical/chemical expertise.
  • Collaboration with Global Life Cycle Sciences team to support manufacturing Operations in Cork
  • Conduct and/or participate in problem solving efforts by analysis and correction of both process and equipment problems to maintain or improve existing site operations.
  • Conduct training for operations and maintenance personnel.

The position of MSAT Staff Engineer requires a third-level qualification in the relevant field and/or 4 years’ experience in the industry:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Science or Engineering); advanced degree preferred in Chemistry, or a related discipline

  • 4 years work experience in Pharma

The anticipated pay range for this position, in the primary posting location, is:

€52 400,00 - €82 915,00

The anticipated pay ranges for additional locations are:

Ireland – The anticipated base pay range for this position is EUR 52400,00 – EUR 82915,00
