Purpose: The Senior Manager, Strategic Planning, will lead the design, evolution, and scaling of business operations capabilities across Therapeutics Development & Supply (TDS). This role is responsible for enabling effective planning, resource management, and performance insights to support a large, complex, and global organization.
The Senior Manager will partner closely with TDS functions, Finance, Capacity Management, and other business partners to establish standardized, scalable processes and ways of working. This includes aligning priorities across organizational units and geographies and ensuring effective coordination of work to deliver against TDS objectives.
Success in this role requires strong business and financial acumen, the ability to lead organizationally both directly and through influence, and a consistent record of implementing processes that drive consistency, efficiency, and decision quality. The role also plays a key part in modernizing business operations through the application of analytics and digital capabilities to reduce reliance on manual and people-intensive processes.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the design, standardization, and scaling of business operations processes across TDS, including financial planning, resource management, and business performance tracking
- Establishing and enhancing integrated planning and review processes that align priorities across functions, geographies, and business partners
- Collaborating with Finance, Capacity Management, Procurement, and other team members to ensure coordinated planning and execution against TDS objectives
- Developing and implementing frameworks, standards, and governance processes that enable consistent and efficient execution at scale
- Driving alignment across organizational boundaries, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes
- Translating business needs into practical, implementable solutions, and drive adoption across the organization
- Leading implementation of new processes and capabilities, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and adoption support
- Developing and applying analytics and digital solutions to improve visibility, enable high quality decision-making, and reduce reliance on manual processes
- Leading development of dashboards, reporting, and performance metrics to provide transparency into financials, resources, and operational performance
- Identifying and leading initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of business operations capabilities
- Operating effectively in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities and evolving business needs
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Master’s degree required, preferably in a scientific field, business administration, operations, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in business operations, financial planning, strategy, or related roles within biopharma or complex organizations required.
- Strong business and financial competence, with experience in budgeting, resource planning, and performance management required.
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling business processes across large, complex organizations is required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and coordinate work across functions, geographies, and business units required.
- Experience applying analytics and digital tools (e.g., reporting platforms, data visualization, automation tools) to enhance operational capabilities required.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to translate complex needs into structured solutions required.
- Broad understanding of drug development processes, including exposure to CMC and/or pharmaceutical R&D required.

€96,000.00 - €165,025.00Benefits:
In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
