We’re seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Technician to test, service, and repair complex medical devices that integrate electronics, mechanics, and robotic subsystems. If you enjoy bench diagnostics, precision assembly, and collaborative problem-solving in a structured, fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

Purpose: In this role, you’re the link between technology and patient safety. You’ll ensure devices used in hospitals and clinics worldwide perform reliably and consistently. You’ll work in a structured yet dynamic setting where quality, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Flexible start times: begin your day between 07:30 and 08:30 - whichever suits you best.

As a Medical Device Technician, you will:

  • Perform pre- and post-repair tests on medical devices using defined procedures, fixtures, and test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and robotic system issues to module level; identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Disassemble and assemble devices with precision, following torque specifications, ESD and safety protocols, and workmanship standards.
  • Accurately document findings, test results, parts usage, and device history in Salesforce and relevant quality/maintenance systems.
  • Manage spare parts: request, track, and reconcile inventory used during repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP), EHS/ESD requirements, and applicable quality system procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Technical background (e.g., electromechanics, mechanical/electrical engineering, mechatronics, or technician/apprenticeship).
  • Experience with bench diagnostics and repair of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and reliability in following standardized work.
  • Effective communicator; collaborative and comfortable in a structured, fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Dutch is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is an advantage.

What do we offer you?

We believe great work starts with taking good care of our people. That’s why we offer:

  • 36 days of paid vacation per year (based on full-time employment).
  • Flexible working hours.
  • A healthy work–life balance, supported by a global wellbeing program.
  • Comprehensive health insurance and pension plan.
  • Travel expense reimbursement, depending on your mode of transport.
  • A meaningful role with direct impact on patients’ lives.
  • A supportive team culture where collaboration and growth are central.

Our hiring process

At DePuy Synthes, we’re committed to a hiring process that is thorough, transparent, and fair. It begins with a careful review of your CV. If selected, you’ll have an initial conversation with our recruitment team, followed by interviews with at least two hiring managers across two separate sessions. While the process may occasionally evolve, we’ll keep you informed and manage timelines and expectations clearly. Once a hiring decision is made, successful candidates will complete the required country-specific pre-employment checks.

We value your feedback and will invite you to complete a brief survey at the end of the process. Thank you for considering a career with us.

At Johnson & Johnson, we want every candidate to feel supported throughout the hiring process. Our goal is to make the experience clear, fair, and respectful of your time.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Application review: We’ll carefully review your CV to see how your skills and experience align with the role.
  • Getting to know you: If there’s a good match, you’ll be invited to a short call with one of our recruitment team to understand more about you and answer any questions that you might have.
  • Staying informed: We know waiting can be hard and processes can evolve; our recruitment team will keep you updated and make sure you know what to expect at each step.
  • Final steps: For successful candidates, you will need to complete country-specific checks before starting your new role. We will help guide you through these.

Finally, at the end of the process, we’ll invite you to share feedback in a short survey — your input helps us continue improving the experience for future candidates.
