We are searching for the best talent for a Precision Medicine Account Manager, Great Lakes Region (Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Ohio, & Michigan).

This is a field-based role available in all cities within the Great Lakes region. While specific states are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. We invite candidates from any location within the region to apply.

Purpose:

This role is part of the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (J&J IM) U.S. Precision Medicine Commercial team and supports the execution of our Precision Medicine strategy aligned to the needs of our current and future oncology portfolio. The Precision Medicine Account Manager (PMAM) serves as the regional precision medicine commercial lead, developing and executing strategic account plans across oncology practices, health systems, pathology networks, and laboratory partners. As a trusted partner to customers, the PMAM brings expertise in biomarker-driven care, identifies opportunities to strengthen patient identification and testing pathways, and supports the integration of precision medicine into clinical decision-making. The role also leads testing landscape development and account readiness for upcoming launches, builds key opinion leader relationships, and collaborates with Medical Affairs, Lung & GU Oncology Specialists, Key Account Managers, Urology Business Account Managers, Thought Leader Liaisons, Oncology Clinical Educators, and other cross-functional partners. The Precision Medicine Account Manager will report to the National Director, Precision Medicine Accounts, JNJ Oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead regional execution of the U.S. Precision Medicine strategy through focused account plans aligned with the current and future oncology portfolio.
  • Build trusted relationships with oncology, pathology, laboratory, practice, population health, and health system stakeholders.
  • Assess patient testing journeys, biomarker pathways, and account-level testing landscapes to identify opportunities that strengthen patient identification and biomarker-driven decision-making.
  • Evaluate account readiness for upcoming launches and translate customer, market, and testing insights into actionable plans.
  • Deliver approved precision medicine education, resources, biomarker testing strategies, and diagnostic solutions aligned with customer priorities.
  • Collaborate across functions to address operational barriers, coordinate customer engagement, and align resources.
  • Cultivate key opinion leader relationships that advance J&J IM leadership in precision medicine.
  • Maintain accurate business records and conduct all activities with strong business acumen and in compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Undergraduate degree (B.A./B.S. required)
  • Minimum 8-years of business experience, 2 years Precision Medicine experience required
  • Oncology experience required
  • Ability for up to 50% travel including overnights required
  • A valid driver’s license within the 50 United States required

  • Demonstrated strategic approach to customer interactions and ability to drive meaningful change
  • Demonstrated ability to advance work and execute in a matrix organization
  • Strong marketplace knowledge in the field of precision medicine
  • An ability to work well in ambiguity and identify areas of current and future opportunity
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated high level of commercial capabilities and clear cycles of success in prior commercial roles
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and applying emerging technologies, such as AI, through exploration and iteration, while building team AI literacy and confidence and reinforcing trusted, responsible use and sound judgment.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $141,000 - $243,800

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
  • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
  • Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

– Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

– Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

– Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

– Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
