Lead the LATAM Pricing Operations shared-services backbone, centralizing and standardizing operational execution while Business Units retain ownership of pricing strategy, customer price setting, and commercial decisions. The role manages end-to-end pricing ERP and sales deal management activities, an operational team, SOX control execution, and a transformation agenda focused on automation, data programming, simplification, scalability, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pricing ERP and Core Process Ownership
- Own operational execution across base prices, portfolio definition, price-code setting, ERP price creation and maintenance, system contract management, overrides, and pricing dispute workflows.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution across supported countries, entities, channels, customer hierarchies, and sold-to structures.
- Coordinate dependencies with Master Data, Finance, Commercial, Deliver, IT, and BU Pricing teams, with clear requestor, approver, and executor responsibilities.
- Maintain process documentation, standard work, backup coverage, knowledge transfer, and business-continuity plans for critical pricing operations.
2. Sales Deal Management Operations
- Lead the operational lifecycle of approved customer negotiations, from intake and validation through ERP upload, contract maintenance, effective-date control, monitoring, and closure.
- Administer workflow queues and service levels, prioritize closing-period and business-critical requests, and provide transparent status reporting to stakeholders.
- Monitor exceptions, incomplete requests, approval gaps, duplicate agreements, expired conditions, and execution discrepancies; drive resolution with accountable owners.
- Preserve BU authority for commercial negotiation and approval while ensuring compliant, accurate, and traceable system execution.
3. Automation, Data Programming and Simplification
- Build and execute a multiyear automation roadmap that reduces manual activities, cycle time, rework, and key-person dependency across Pricing Operations.
- Use data-programming and analytics capabilities such as SQL, Python, Power Query, Power BI, workflow automation, APIs, or approved equivalent platforms to automate validations, reconciliations, controls, and reporting.
- Design exception-based operations, automated quality gates, audit trails, alerts, and dashboards for pricing transactions and controls.
- Partner with IT and process owners to translate business requirements into scalable ERP enhancements, workflow solutions, and controlled deployments with testing and hypercare.
4. SOX Controls, Compliance and Audit Readiness
- Own the operational execution and evidence quality of pricing-related SOX controls, including access, approval, completeness, accuracy, change, and reconciliation controls as applicable.
- Embed controls into workflows and system logic wherever feasible, replacing retrospective manual checks with preventive or automated controls.
- Maintain complete, timely, and retrievable documentation for internal audit, external audit, and compliance reviews; remediate findings through sustainable root-cause solutions.
- Monitor segregation of duties, approval matrices, override governance, emergency changes, and high-risk exceptions, escalating control failures promptly.
5. Team Leadership and Service Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional operational team with clear roles, objectives, backup coverage, capability plans, and performance expectations.
- Operate through a centralized intake and workflow model with documented SLAs, escalation paths, workload balancing, and service-performance reviews.
- Create a continuous-improvement culture using process mapping, root-cause analysis, standard work, automation backlogs, and benefits tracking.
- Build trusted relationships across Business Units while protecting capacity for regional priorities and avoiding uncontrolled local process variation.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Sales Deal Management, Commercial Operations, Pricing, Revenue Growth Management, Finance, or related commercial functions, including demonstrated experience leading teams and regional or multi-country initiatives.
- Proven expertise in managing complex commercial deals and contracting processes, including deal structuring, pricing and discount governance, profitability assessment, approvals, tender/business-case support, and execution through the full deal lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial value drivers, with the ability to evaluate price, volume, mix, margin, contractual terms, and other deal economics to support sustainable and profitable growth.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and lead deal governance, including approval frameworks, escalation mechanisms, decision rights, compliance controls, and disciplined execution across countries and business units.
- Strong experience working across Commercial, Finance, Pricing, Contracting, Customer Service, and other enabling functions to accelerate deal execution while appropriately managing financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Strategic business partnering capabilities, with the ability to engage senior commercial leaders and serve as a trusted advisor on high-value opportunities, complex negotiations, commercial trade-offs, and investment decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex customer and business requirements into commercially sound deal structures, scenarios, recommendations, and clear decision-making alternatives.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed regional organization, influencing without direct authority, driving accountability, and aligning diverse stakeholders across LATAM markets and leadership levels.
- Strong process excellence and digital mindset, with experience simplifying and standardizing deal-management workflows, improving cycle times, increasing visibility through dashboards and KPIs, and leveraging automation and digital tools where appropriate.
- Executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to synthesize complex commercial issues into concise, actionable recommendations for General Managers, Commercial Leaders, Finance Leaders, and executive governance forums.
