Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) SFA, Intl Finance – LATAM, located in Distrito Capital de Bogotá, Colombia.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA), International Finance – LATAM plays a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities across the Latin America region. This position partners closely with regional and country finance teams to deliver accurate financial insights, support business decision‑making, and ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies. The role offers strong exposure to regional leadership and provides opportunities to influence financial performance across multiple markets in a dynamic, global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for LATAM markets, including sales, operating expenses, and profitability.

  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes by preparing financial analyses, management reports, and commentary for regional stakeholders.

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to evaluate business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actionable insights.

  • Assist in the development of annual operating plans, long‑range plans, and strategic initiatives for the region.

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance requirements, supporting audits as needed.

  • Analyze complex financial data and trends to support pricing, investment, and cost management decisions.

  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing financial models, reporting tools, and analytical processes.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Business (preferred).

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Typically 4–6 years of progressive experience in finance, financial planning & analysis, or accounting.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems and reporting tools.

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, multinational environment.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to non‑finance partners.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting Latin America markets or international operations.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.

  • Experience partnering with commercial or operations teams.

  • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.

  • Prior experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.

Other:

  • Languages: English required; Spanish required; Portuguese preferred.

  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred).
