We are searching for the best talent for Electrophisiology Field Service Engineer.

Purpose: Perform on-site technical service for Electrophysiology medical equipment at customer locations, including installation/commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and performance verification. The role is critical to keep systems running reliably to expected performance and in compliance with assigned global factory protocols, quality requirements, and service documentation standards. In addition to executing technical work, the Field Service Engineer represents Service as the commercial face at the customer site—building trust through clear communication, professionalism, and timely follow-through. The impact of this role extends to end customers and patients by helping ensure equipment availability and safe, consistent operation in clinical environments.

You will be responsible for:

  • Support installation/commissioning, configuration, and acceptance testing at customer sites.
  • Install and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Electrophysiology equipment (sold and loaned/consigned units).
  • Perform software/firmware updates, calibrations, and safety checks when applicable.
  • Run diagnostics to identify root cause(s) and implement corrective actions per the Complaint Management Process.
  • Provide written and verbal technical support and troubleshooting for Clinical Account Specialists (CAS).
  • Verify equipment performance after service (functional checks) and document results per factory protocols.
  • Escalate complex issues and coordinate with factory/technical support until resolution.
  • Provide basic user guidance on operation and care of the equipment, as needed.
  • Plan service visits, coordinate parts/tools, and ensure timely closure of service activities.
  • Partner with field service, sales, clinical teams, and customers to improve service delivery.
  • Maintain service records per regulatory requirements and J&J’s Quality Management System.
  • Manage assigned company assets, including the company vehicle (as applicable), tools, parts inventory, computer, and accessories, in compliance with company processes and procedures.
  • Follow site safety (EHS) requirements and company procedures while working at customer locations.
  • Report service status, recurring issues, and key metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Submit all business travel expenses in compliance with the company T&E policy and within required timelines.
  • Complete all assigned trainings on time and as requested.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining medical equipment, preferably in field service with direct customer contact.
  • INVIMA registration as Maintenance and Verification Personnel for Class IIB and III medical devices.
  • Intermediate English.
  • Basic networking/IT knowledge is highly desired.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience preparing and submitting technical service reports in ECM platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and work in clinical environments.
  • Up to 30% travel availability (domestic and international).
  • This position is based in Bogotá.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving experience (company vehicle provided).
  • Valid U.S. visa.
