We are searching for the best talent for Principal Business Excellence Engineer for Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez.

Purpose:

The holder of this position is responsible for the development and improvement of one or more operations or areas that impact one or more of the performance measures of the company. The
Business Excellence Engineer must have a clear understanding of the strategies of the plant and must be capable of translating these strategies into measurable goals. The responsibilities
will include establishing the bases or current condition, communicating / lead improvement projects from establish the strategic plant up to the implementation, systematization of the
improvement of the performance measure and compare the result with the world-class standards. For that, the title holder must become an expert in the use of JJPS tools, six sigma, lean manufacturing system, possess knowledge about product costs, must have experience in manufacturing and the vision of the business.

You will be responsible for:
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
• Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this
position:
o Is responsible for the analysis and development of the strategic plan for the area or process in which he/she is involved.
o Is responsible for ensuring that the goals of his/her projects are aligned with the strategic plan of the plant.
o Is responsible for ensuring that the plans of the projects for the different areas / manufacturing plants and/or supply chain are finished at the established time and the previously established results are reached.
o Is responsible for the updating of the performance measures system.
o Is responsible for the training about the system and change for the people involved in the different areas, manufacturing, supply change, materials, etc.
o Is responsible for maintaining open and effective communication with other project leaders within the plant.
o Will be evaluated according to the results obtained, the time and impact to the performance measures of the manufacturing process.

o Is responsible for the understanding of the Quality procedures, of the aspects of safety, Environment and Ergonomics that are necessary to comply with or implement during the project (GMPs, ISO, FDA, Internal Policies, etc.).
o Is responsible for ensuring the compliance, personnel and of the company, with all the regulations, policies and procedures through its processes, including Health, Safety, Environment and Ergonomics.
o Keeps optimal communication with the rest of the associated departments to obtain the biggest advantage of the improvements in the processes.
o Provides support to the display of JJPS, Six Sigma, PE and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
o Provides support to PE training, certification and recertification and savings if required.
o Supervision responsibilities: Can supervise, coordinate and technically check the work of the engineering technicians of Operational Excellence, estimates human resources needs, programs and allocates work to comply with the delivery dates. As a Process Excellence Engineer Senior, he/she can be supported by other engineers and technicians.
o Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
o Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
o For those who supervise or manage staff, they are responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
o Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
o Performs other duties assigned as needed.

• Is responsible for the analysis and development of a strategic plan for the area or process in which he/she is involved, including the chain supply, and for establishing short-term and long-term goals.
• Is responsible for ensuring that the goals of his/her projects are aligned with the strategic plan of the plant.
• Is responsible for ensuring that the plans of the projects for the different areas / manufacturing plants and/or supply chain are finished on the allowed time and that the previously established results are reached.
• Is responsible for updating the performance measure system.

• Is responsible for the training about the system and change for the people involved in the different areas, such as manufacturing, supply chain, materials, etc.
• Is responsible for updating and informing the Plant Management about the results.
• Coordinates meetings periodically to present the improvement, possible problems and status of each project.
• Is responsible for maintaining open and effective communication with other project leaders within the plant and in other plants.
• Will be evaluated about the results obtained, the time and impact on the performance measures of the manufacturing processes.
• Is responsible for the understanding of the Quality procedures, safety, environment, and ergonomics aspects that are necessary to comply with or implement during the project (GMPs,
• ISO, FDA, Internal Policies, etc.).
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance, personnel and of the company, with all the regulations, policies and procedures though its processes, including Health, Safety, Environment and Ergonomics.
• Maintains optimal communication with the other departments associated to obtain the biggest advantage of the improvements in the processes.
• Communicates goals and objectives between departments to ensure that the business is kept focused on the final strategy.
• Represents operations in the allocated projects in other areas or plants.
• Provide support to the deployment of the JJPS, Six Sigma, PE and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Provide support to PE, certifications and recertification and savings required.
• Supervision responsibilities: Can supervise, coordinate, and technically check the work of the engineering technicians of Operational Excellence, estimates human resources needs, programs, and allocates work to comply with the delivery dates. As a Process Excellence Principal Engineer, he/she can be supported by other engineers and technicians.
• Is responsible for the identification analysis and improvement plans through lean principle.
• Identify and manage improvement cost opportunities.
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
• Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health and Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.

• Responsible for ensuring personnel and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements:

o Completed bachelor’s in engineering, any specialization.
o Recommendable, master’s in science.
o 1 to 8 years of experience, according to level. (See Table A: Experience for each level)
o Experience in medical products.
o Process Excellence: (SPC and DMAIC), knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, strategies development, Black Belt certification (can be candidate to be certified as Master Black Belt).
o Knowledge of materials systems, inventories and supply chain.
o Experience in different areas of the plant.
o Ability to establish PE (Six Sigma and lean manufacturing) as part of the culture in the organization.
o Experience in the management of Permanent Change.

EDUCATION

Completed bachelor’s in engineering, any specialization. Recommendable, master’s in science.

EXPERIENCE

From 8 to 10 years. Work experience in supervision, administration, and project direction.

Experience in medical products, and technical studies, preferably.

Process Excellence: (SPC and DMAIC), knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, strategies development, Black Belt certification (can be candidate to be certified as Master Black Belt).

Knowledge of materials systems, inventories, and supply chain.

Experience in different areas of the plant.

Ability to establish PE (Six Sigma and lean manufacturing) as part of the culture in the organization.

Experience in Change management.

o Strong knowledge of computer packages such as Excel, Access and PowerPoint. AutoCad and other similar software.
o Must possess demonstrated analytical capacity.
o Knowledge in Finances
o Bilingual English – Spanish
o Good interpersonal relations and ease of written and oral communication.
o Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
o Must be perseverant: good follow up and project direction.
o Knowledge of Product Cost (Std Cost).
o Must understand and translate the needs of the client.
o Knowledge of Quality and Production techniques (CFM, JIT, TQM, etc.).
