Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Senior Manager, Supply Chain Technology, Automation, UDI, and Labeling; this Hybrid position will be in Raynham, MA (USA). Alternate Hybrid locations may be considered at Raritan, NJ (USA), West Chester, PA (USA), Warsaw, IN (USA) or Palm Beach Gardens, FL (USA).

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview:

This role provides strategic leadership for supply chain technology capabilities across DePuy Synthes, with a strong focus on automation, Unique Device Identification (UDI), and labeling systems. The Senior Manager will shape and execute the technology roadmap that enables compliant, scalable, and efficient global supply chain operations. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, IT, and Manufacturing teams to drive digital transformation and ensure business continuity in a highly regulated medical device environment and reports into the DuPuy Synthes Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of supply chain technology solutions, including automation, UDI, and labeling platforms.

  • Define and execute a multi‑year roadmap that supports global supply chain operations, regulatory compliance, and business growth.

  • Oversee UDI and labeling systems to ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EU MDR) and internal quality standards.

  • Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across manufacturing, packaging, and distribution processes.

  • Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize supply chain platforms, improving demand forecasting, planning accuracy, and end‑to‑end decision-making while driving efficient and resilient supply chain operations at scale.

  • Partner with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, IT, and Operations to ensure technology solutions are validated, secure, and fit for purpose.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including system integrators and software providers, to ensure performance, cost control, and service quality.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of technology and process experts.

  • Ensure systems are audit‑ready and support inspection preparedness activities.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain technology, automation, or related digital capabilities within a regulated environment.

  • Proven leadership experience managing global or enterprise‑scale technology teams and programs.

  • Strong expertise in UDI and labeling systems within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives and technology implementations.

  • Deep understanding of quality systems, validation, and regulatory requirements impacting supply chain technology.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting global supply chains across multiple regions.

  • Background in automation solutions for manufacturing, packaging, or distribution environments.

  • Experience with large ERP and supply chain execution systems (e.g., serialization, labeling, traceability).

  • Change management experience in large, matrixed organizations.

  • Familiarity with data analytics and digital transformation initiatives within supply chain functions.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership levels.

Other:

  • Language: English (fluent). Additional languages are a plus.

  • Travel: Up to 20%, domestic and international.

  • Certifications: Relevant supply chain, quality, or technology certifications are preferred but not required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
