Job Overview

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading end-to-end production operations to ensure high-quality products are manufactured safely and in full compliance with cGMP, EHS, and lean manufacturing standards. Working closely with other supervisors and cross‑functional partners, this role ensures production targets are achieved according to the Master Production Schedule while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and collaboration. The Manufacturing Supervisor leads, coaches, and supports manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, compliant, and efficient operations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise manufacturing teams to achieve production targets in line with the Master Production Schedule.
  • Assign operators, manage resource needs, and ensure adequate assets and staffing levels.
  • Support the introduction, qualification, and validation of new products and equipment, including training of operators.
  • Ensure all process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions are accurate, current, and completed on time.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance through data analysis (e.g., yield, nonconformances, training, absenteeism) and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead or support deviation investigations, CAPAs, and change management activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and act as a subject matter expert for assigned processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in the medical device or regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, EHS, and quality systems within a production environment.
  • Proficiency with automation and business systems (e.g., ERP, Excel, Windows-based tools).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management capabilities.
  • Data-driven problem-solving skills and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.

At Johnson & Johnson, we want every candidate to feel supported throughout the hiring process. Our goal is to make the experience clear, fair, and respectful of your time.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Application review: We’ll carefully review your CV to see how your skills and experience align with the role.
  • Getting to know you: If there’s a good match, you’ll be invited to a short call with one of our recruitment team to understand more about you and answer any questions that you might have.
  • Staying informed: We know waiting can be hard and processes can evolve; our recruitment team will keep you updated and make sure you know what to expect at each step.
  • Final steps: For successful candidates, you will need to complete country-specific checks before starting your new role. We will help guide you through these.

Finally, at the end of the process, we’ll invite you to share feedback in a short survey — your input helps us continue improving the experience for future candidates.
