Purpose: The Product Manager Orthopedics is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of a defined orthopedic product portfolio, supporting product strategy, market execution, and commercial effectiveness.
The role works closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Medical, HEMA, and Global Marketing to ensure clear and consistent portfolio positioning, effective product launches, and disciplined execution of marketing plans across the market. The position combines strong analytical capabilities, solid market understanding, and cross‑functional collaboration to support business growth and customer relevance.
This role combines strategic contribution with a hands‑on, execution‑focused approach, playing a key role in translating global and local strategies into tangible impact in the field.
Responsibilities:
Define and Execute the Orthopedics Specialties Marketing Plan in alignment with the regional EMEA strategy and guidelines, including product launches, segmentation, pricing, target customer definition, promotional and educational activities, marketing materials, samples, and sales force training needs.
Portfolio Management: Lead portfolio management processes with a tailored approach that fits the Spanish market, including New Product Introductions, lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, segmentation, and positioning.
Launch Excellence: Ensure launch readiness and utilize post-launch metrics to evaluate and improve execution, fostering strong internal collaboration throughout all stages.
Lead Pricing Strategies for the portfolio aligned with the Value Ladder framework, monitoring implementation progress with Sales Managers.
Participate actively in key business processes such as planning, forecasting, and special projects.
Collaborate closely with the Sales team to gather customer insights, translate needs into commercial solutions, and support sales execution.
On field support by addressing complex customer questions and objections, promoting adoption of sales methodologies.
Conduct regular business analytics and monitoring, including sales performance, trends, and profitability.
Perform market analysis and research: define market size and potential, explore competitive dynamics, market trends (procedure and product adoption, regulatory and reimbursement changes, etc.), and gather insights and Voice of Customer (VoC).
Build strong relationships with KOLs, key non-clinical stakeholders, and scientific associations, identifying partnership opportunities aligned with business objectives.
Partner with Commercial Education to train sales representatives on product features, benefits, and objection handling through master classes and role-playing.
Develop and adapt marketing materials to support promotional and educational activities, including omnichannel campaigns.
Work closely with Local HEMA and Medical Affairs teams to incorporate clinical and economic impact into the marketing strategy.
Build strong relationships with EMEA and Global Marketing teams, leveraging these connections to add value to the local organization.
Support the preparation of commercial offers and pricing proposals in collaboration with Sales, and contribute to tender processes by ensuring robust referencing, competitive positioning, and alignment with value-based pricing strategies.
Qualifications:
Experience in product management, marketing, or commercial roles within MedTech, Orthopedics, or healthcare environments.
Demonstrated experience in Joint Reconstruction and/or Sports Medicine portfolios is required.
Solid understanding of orthopedic products, clinical pathways, and hospital purchasing dynamics.
Strong analytical skills, with ability to interpret market and performance data and translate insights into actions.
Proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and matrix environments.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Structured, organized, and execution‑oriented mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
Fluency in Spanish and English.

€55,400.00 - €87,860.00Benefits:
In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
