Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The role supports DPS China in data‑driven decision making by translating business questions into structured analyses, reports, and dashboards. The role partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, Strategic Support, and IT teams to deliver high‑quality insights, ensure analytics execution discipline, and continuously improve data transparency and usability.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analytics & Insight Generation
Support development of standardized business analytics, including sales performance, market trends, channel effectiveness, and customer insights
Transform business requirements into clear analytical questions, metrics, and outputs
Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business reviews and management decision‑making
Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives, problem solving, and leadership requests
Data Modeling, Reporting & Visualization
Use data and analytics tools to perform data modeling, analysis, and reporting
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of analytics outputs
Partner with IS / Digital teams to clarify data sources, definitions, and logic
Support continuous improvement of analytics automation and reporting efficiency
Business Requirement Translation & Project Support
Work closely with business stakeholders to clarify and translate requirements into analytics solutions
Support analytics‑related projects through planning, execution, tracking, and delivery
Prepare and maintain workplans, milestones, risks/issues logs, and progress updates
Participate in solution reviews to ensure analytics outputs meet business, compliance, and governance requirements
Data Governance & Analytics Enablement
Support adherence to data governance standards, including data definition consistency, access control, and appropriate usage
Assist with documentation of key metrics, data logic, and reporting methodologies
Support change management related to analytics tools, dashboards, or reporting processes
Contribute to building DPS China’s analytics capability and data‑driven culture
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
Contribute to post‑project reviews and best practice documentation
Identify opportunities to improve analytics processes, delivery methods, and insight usability
Support standardization and simplification of analytics deliverables across DPS China
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or above
Preferred majors: Business Analytics, Information Management, Data Science, Engineering, Healthcare, or related fields
Experience
Solid experience in business analytics, data analysis, digital, or commercial support roles
Experience working with data analysis, reporting, or visualization tools
Exposure to project coordination or analytics project delivery preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving capability
Ability to translate business needs into data‑driven insights
Good communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
High attention to detail, data accuracy, and quality mindset
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI / visualization tools preferred
Familiarity with data concepts (databases, metrics, data modeling) is a plus
Good English reading and writing capability preferred
