The Regional Product Manager – VELYS Enabling Technologies is responsible for defining and driving the regional product and commercialization strategy for the VELYS Digital Surgery and enabling technology platform. This role owns the regional VELYS platform strategy, including go‑to‑market approach, pricing and commercial models for capital and enabling technologies, launch planning, and sales enablement to accelerate adoption and utilization across markets.
As a key regional integrator, the role partners closely with cross‑functional teams—including Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Professional Education, Marketing, Finance, Launch Excellence, and Service—to build integrated NPI and commercialization plans and ensure disciplined execution.
This position plays a critical role in driving the adoption of complex, workflow‑based digital, robotic and capital technologies, directly impacting growth, differentiation, and customer value realization for DePuy Synthes.
Key Responsibilities
Own the regional product and commercialization strategy for the VELYS Digital Surgery and enabling technology platform, aligned with global direction and regional priorities.
Define the regional go‑to‑market approach for VELYS, including segmentation, value propositions, adoption pathways, and expansion strategies for digital and capital solutions.
Establish and govern regional pricing and commercial models for VELYS enabling technologies (capital, bundled, and solution‑based), in close partnership with Finance and Commercial teams.
Lead regional new product introductions and platform expansions, applying Launch Excellence (LEX) principles to drive launch readiness, high‑quality execution, and adoption.
Ensure strong cross‑functional NPI and commercialization planning, coordinating Regulatory Affairs, Professional Education, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams to enable successful launches and sustained adoption.
Develop and deploy regional sales enablement assets, including playbooks, campaigns, collateral, and value‑based storytelling to support complex digital and capital selling.
Monitor business performance and adoption metrics, gather market insights and competitive intelligence, and translate learnings into strategic and executional improvements.
Represent LATAM market needs in Global VELYS Platform Leadership Teams, contributing regional insights to the development of the VELYS platform strategy and sharing best practices across markets.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Sciences).
Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required:
5–7 years of experience in product management, platform marketing, commercial strategy, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience with capital equipment, enabling technologies, digital solutions, or other complex, workflow‑based offerings.
Strong understanding of go‑to‑market strategy, pricing frameworks, and capital selling models.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and drive execution through influence in a matrixed organization.
Strong financial acumen, including experience developing business cases, ROI analysis, and performance tracking.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Preferred:
Experience in medical devices, orthopedics, or other regulated healthcare environments.
Exposure to digital surgery, robotics, or integrated technology platforms.
Experience working across multiple markets or geographies within a regional structure.
Other:
Languages: Portuguese and English proficiency required for regional and global collaboration.
Travel: Up to ~20% - 40% regional travel.
