Health Economics Market Access in J&J MedTech Asia Pacific

Health Economics Market Access (HEMA) is a critical strategic capability responsible to a dedicated business unit of J&J MedTech.

Health economics in the context of the Asia Pacific region is accountable for enabling market access to ensure new products can be successfully commercialised with defined value and payment by all payers.

APAC encompasses some of the most challenging health technology assessment governance and processes globally. Defining success in an increasingly complex access environment warrants deep expertise in HTA strategy and demonstrated flawless execution to guarantee reimbursement and funding. Evolution of MedTech value assessments continues with multi-faceted decision-making processes where the clinician is key, equal to the economic stakeholders.

HEMA is equally responsible to define all MedTech innovation and current portfolio value from a multi-customer centric perspective. The goals and objectives of this role is to guarantee payment with MedTech adoption across all health care systems.

Critical to this diverse APAC region is generating relevant evidence that allows for successful HTA assessment, defines MedTech value, providing economic clarity to all stakeholders.

HEMA is directly accountable to define evidence generation strategies that deliver relevant MedTech product aligned insights, inclusive of clinical and economic outcomes.

Within this context, the purpose of this role is to be a Surgery HEMA lead, partnering closely with multiple internal local, regional and global teams, focussing on external stakeholders.

Accountable to the APAC Surgery Business, a HEMA role will enable integrated market access planning for all Surgery MedTech platforms’ innovation and lifecycle technology management.

This is an end-to-end responsibility involving global, regional and local market teams. Collaboration and planning are key to flawless execution; namely this will be in partnership with HEMA, Clinical, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing and Sales leaders and teams.
