Position Summary

The Jr Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Immunology (Gastroenterology) is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic scientific relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs). This role enables the exchange of scientific information, supports evidence-based clinical decision-making, and generates critical insights that inform the medical strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with community and academic HCPs.

  • Drive scientific engagement to foster understanding and appropriate use of innovative therapies.

  • Communicate clinical data and the value of innovations (efficacy, safety, effectiveness, adherence, quality of life) to key stakeholders.

  • Support medical strategy execution during pre-launch and launch phases, including healthcare system readiness and early adoption initiatives.

  • Identify barriers to practice change and contribute to strategies that accelerate adoption of innovative treatments.

  • Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs, investigators, and healthcare decision-makers in a compliant manner.

  • Translate clinical data into relevant insights for real-world clinical practice.

  • Identify potential research sites and support study feasibility and site engagement aligned with Medical Affairs priorities.

  • Lead and execute scientific education activities, including field medical events.

  • Gather and report field insights on scientific trends, treatment paradigms, competitive landscape, and unmet medical needs.

  • Develop and execute territory and KOL engagement plans aligned with Medical Affairs strategy.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Medicine (preferred) or other Health Sciences (e.g., Pharmacy, Biology, Nursing or related).

  • Postgraduate studies in Health Sciences or related fields are preferred.

  • Open to recently graduated professionals or candidates with up to 5 years of relevant professional experience in clinical, scientific, or research environments.

  • Prior exposure to immunology or gastroenterology is considered a plus (pharmaceutical industry experience is not required).

  • Strong ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex clinical and scientific data.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted peer-to-peer relationships.

  • English proficiency (intermediate to advanced, written and spoken).

  • Strong digital literacy and ability to work with virtual engagement tools and data systems.

  • Valid driver’s license required.
