As a Transportation Analyst, you will serve as a key liaison between the NA Innovative Medicine (IM) Regional Transportation Organization (RTO) team and Janssen Ortho McNeil (JOM) distribution centers, managing outbound transportation networks to ensure reliable, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of finished goods from Johnson & Johnson distribution centers to end customers.

This includes coordination of shipment execution, carrier performance, and exception management to maintain service levels.

You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and reporting transportation metrics, supporting cost improvement programs, and participating in performance reviews to demonstrate operational success and budget execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage outbound transportation operations for customer shipments, including domestic and international distribution from J&J distribution centers
  • Coordinate shipment planning and execution to ensure timely and accurate delivery to end customers, including hospitals, wholesalers, and specialty care providers
  • Track and trace outbound shipments, providing proactive communication and resolving delivery exceptions to maintain service levels
  • Analytics & Insights- Support development, implementation, and analytics as well as provide analysis and recommendations to support strategic supply chain decisions
  • Partner with distribution centers, customer service, and logistics teams to align shipping priorities with customer requirements and order fulfillment timelines
  • Monitor carrier performance and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), escalating issues and driving corrective actions as needed
  • Lead cost improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize routing, mode selection, consolidation, and carrier utilization
  • Drive service improvement initiatives to enhance delivery reliability, visibility, and customer satisfaction
  • Analyze and report transportation metrics related to service, cost, and efficiency to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and customer-specific requirements for outbound shipments
  • Budgetary Responsibility: Supports transportation operations with an approximate budget of $54MM

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience

Required:

  • 1-2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain functions
  • General knowledge of U.S. transportation industry and distribution networks
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities

Preferred:

  • Experience in outbound distribution and customer delivery networks
  • Experience in project management
  • Familiarity with transportation compliance and customer-specific delivery requirements
  • Technological aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly

Other:

  • Up to 10% overnight travel and occasional site visits are required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$65,000.00 - $104,650.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
