We are searching for the best talent for Material Supplier Business Unit Manager to be in Ciudad Juarez, Planta Independencia.
Purpose:
Manages Direct Material Suppliers’ Operational Relationship as a Business Unit. Lead E2E activities/initiatives to ensure components’ supply consistent with quality specifications, shipment schedules and at minimum cost. Develops & participates in strategic decisions of the direct material suppliers subject to forecasted demand and Source strategy. The Material Supplier Manager collaborates with internal business partners and suppliers to improve customer fulfillment and supplier delivery performance and responsiveness, abiding by the spirit of the Johnson & Johnson Credo. The Material Supplier Manager uses processes, systems, and reporting capabilities that improve the efficiency of material supply services, using technology and monitoring metrics necessary to achieve targeted performance goals.
You will be responsible for:
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Provides a leadership role in specific direct material suppliers' management by means of monitoring Supplier Performance,(quality, service, cost) identification of risks and its mitigations and identification of business continuity plan initiatives.
- Provides and establishes leadership climate for suppliers’ relationship towards continue quality improvements and compliance with regulatory requirements as they apply to all business aspects.
- Responsible for guiding/leading cross functional teams (ie Jabil, Cross functions, suppliers) as part of specific business initiatives such as Integrate, Rapid Response Teams, Operating Models, Amigos call etc.) to ensure suppliers performance meets business needs.
- Ensures manufacturing components are at SS levels to support Jabil and Independencia sites manufacturing execution attainment.
- Manage E2E Suppliers portfolio for critical projects tracking based in data owned by Life Cycle Management.
- Utilize tools to identify risks such as Process & Digital Control Tower Capabilities Building
- Identifies needs and coordinate the development of support systems, i.e., SCRs, safety stock reports, cS&OP in combination with operational reviews, capacity needs vs accuracy on forecast.
- Review a customer driven quality suppliers’ performance that ensures regulatory compliance to ISO and GMP requirements, as applicable based on data owned by Source Quality.
- Makes (critical supplier) decisions based on understanding of multiple cross functions and their interrelationships (i.e. LCM. SQ, Source, Plan) as it pertains to operational performance.
- Responsible for communicating suppliers’ business-related issues or opportunities as per established escalation processes (i.e. STEM).
- Support E2E Inventory Management for components supplied by direct material suppliers.
- Align with VSL on E2E Portfolio management and align with LCM on execution of those projects.
- Ensure achievement of CIP and OGSM initiatives.
- Aligned Capital Strategy & Maintenance Costs with suppliers.
- Support Supplier Selection by Source, Onboarding and Readiness.
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, business administration, operations or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Source, Supplier Quality, Operations, Logistics/Supply Chain or technical role within a high volume-manufacturing environment required (medical industry preferred)
- Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field
- Strong project management skills are a plus. Insight into End-to-End supply chain characteristics and understanding of financial processes such as business case development, P&L calculation and COGS is preferred.
- Knowledge of specific business practices and software and software applications. Experience with MRP systems, such as SAP, is highly desired.

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and/or internationally is required.
