Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for SCG specialist, located in Mexico City, Mexico.

The SCG specialist plays a critical role in driving growth for DePuy Synthes by supporting the promotion and sale of orthopedic products to surgeons and operating room professionals. This role combines clinical knowledge, customer engagement, and data‑driven selling to strengthen surgeon relationships, expand product adoption, and improve patient outcomes. The position offers hands‑on exposure to the operating room environment, meaningful customer impact, and eligibility for sales incentive compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support face‑to‑face and remote sales activities with surgeons, OR managers, and associated clinical staff to achieve sales targets.

  • Assist in implementing sales programs, initiatives, and processes aligned with the Clinical Sales – Surgeons strategy.

  • Conduct stakeholder engagement by communicating product value, influencing clinical decisions, and delivering comprehensive solutions.

  • Contribute to sales projects and initiatives that strengthen competitive positioning and customer retention.

  • Perform basic trend and pipeline analysis to support continuous improvement in sales execution.

  • Document customer account information and maintain accurate sales pipeline and reporting data.

  • Utilize available analytics tools to identify opportunities, prioritize accounts, and track progress against objectives.

  • Build product and clinical knowledge to become a trusted resource within the assigned geography.

  • Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in all customer and team interactions.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business, life sciences, engineering, or related field preferred).

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, commercial support, or a customer‑facing role.

  • Ability to work under close supervision while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clinical stakeholders.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret basic sales and pipeline data.

  • Willingness to work in hospital and operating room settings.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to medical device, MedTech, or healthcare sales environments.

  • Experience supporting surgeons or OR professionals.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems or sales analytics tools.

  • Demonstrated interest in developing a long‑term sales or commercial career within MedTech.

Other:

  • Languages: Spanish required; English proficiency preferred.

  • Travel: Regular local travel within the assigned territory; occasional regional travel.

  • Compensation: Eligible for sales incentive / commission.

  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required for customer visits.
