Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Service & Solutions Manager, located in Leeds, United Kingdom.
The Services and Solutions Manager will deploy the DePuy Synthes value offering to drive profitable market share with strategic customers. The individual will be tasked with supporting to the process to shape, deliver and implement the new DS value offering, to include but not exclusively Clinical Transformation, Theatre Efficiency Patient Pathway programmes as well as Enabling technology pipeline. The incumbent will have strong expertise and practical experience in the skills required to deliver these programmes and experience of delivering and executing value-based product and enabling technology led solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
To support the delivery of value deployments in associated accounts in line with DS and customer strategic priorities.
To help uncover and drive business opportunities end to end to maximise DS impact
Be the designated governance lead, to manage relationships with key NHS trusts and private sector organisations deploying value driven programmes for specific clinical and non-clinical outcomes.
Programme and / or workstream lead to act as the “orchestra conductor” within an NHS hospital to ensure resources, contractual commitments and governance is optimised for both the customer and DS.
Partner with commercial colleagues to deliver the Value/S&S strategy for UK.
Accountability for reporting progress against key performance indicators aligned to annual objectives
Accountable for supporting strategic growth through the deployment of value programmes (Diagnosis, Deal Creation, Implementation/Delivery)
Drive the development of the extensive value portfolio of DS
Required Education and/or Experience:
Driven by results performance & delivering excellence in the job through strong project management skills, process-oriented work and commercial capability.
Strong track record for execution and understanding of value based strategies and programmes.
Outstanding internal and external communicator, with report writing to an executive audience in all formats.
Ability to think, plan and execute deliverables.
Strong project management experience, with experience in prioritising projects, managing and seeing projects through to completion.
Excellent working knowledge of NHS/Private Sector procurement, and detailed knowledge of at least 1 national framework
Proven ability to shape value based and product led contracts and strategies.
Ability to understand business strategy and coach the transition to translate it into actionable plans, coupled with high execution focus and exceptional planning skills.
Strong passion and track record for innovation & will to make things happen & deliver.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language(s) and English; effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
University degree in business administration, marketing & communications, hospital management, life science, public administration or related fields or studies would be preferable but not essential.
Expertise in Organisational change, and/or Process Excellence, and/or Project Management, and/or Healthcare Management Consulting, and/or running Surgical Services/Theatres/Secondary Care Service
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven communication, presentation and negotiations skills.
Excellent understanding of the UK Healthcare System, procurement providers and the strategy of the Future operating model its structure and priorities.
Understanding of health economic principles and extensive knowledge of the UK medical devices industry.
IT literate – ability to analyse and present information using appropriate IT resources.
Ability to analyse and interpret data, highly numerate.
