Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Executive summary of the role.
The Management & Marketing Assistant provides day-to-day management support to the General Manager and operational marketing support to the local marketing team, ensuring priorities are planned, tracked, and executed with quality and consistency. The role combines strong administrative coordination, structured follow-up, and marketing operations support in a regulated MedTech environment.
Working closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Medical/Compliance, Finance, and Operations), the role helps translate business priorities into clear actions by coordinating the leadership rhythm (meetings, reporting, planning cycles), maintaining accurate administrative processes, and supporting the preparation and rollout of marketing materials and activities. Success is measured by reliability, attention to detail, compliance, and the ability to keep multiple workstreams moving across a matrixed organization.
Main areas of responsibility / expected results/objectives of the role
Provides proactive management assistance to the General Manager, including calendar management, meeting coordination, preparation of agendas/briefings, and follow-up on decisions and action items.
Supports the marketing team with operational execution of the annual marketing plan (timelines, task tracking, internal approvals, and coordination of deliverables) in line with brand guidelines and compliance requirements.
Coordinates internal logistics and administrative support for education and engagement activities (e.g., workshops and events) by managing planning checklists, bookings, documentation, and internal communications in line with company procedures.
Prepares, formats, and maintains marketing and business materials (presentations, templates, toolkits) by coordinating internal review cycles (Medical/Legal/Compliance as applicable) and tracking approvals and version control.
Supports internal commercial and administrative processes (e.g., purchase requests, vendor set-up initiation, invoice follow-up, and order tracking) by coordinating required information and ensuring timely internal follow-up.
Maintains leadership reporting and trackers (KPIs, activity dashboards, action logs) and prepares concise updates for internal business reviews and team meetings.
Drives continuous improvement of internal ways of working (standard templates, file structure, meeting routines, and process documentation) to increase efficiency and consistency.
Coordinates internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Medical/Compliance, Finance, Operations) to gather inputs, align timelines, and ensure smooth delivery of agreed activities.
Communicates status updates clearly to internal stakeholders and ensures documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready where required.

Required:

Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).

Preferred:
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in business, health economics, life sciences, or healthcare management.
Experience in MedTech, Pharma, or healthcare consulting.
Familiarity with value-based healthcare models and outcome measurement.
Experience supporting complex tenders or long-term partnerships.
Exposure to system-level healthcare transformation projects.
