Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview

The Analyst, International Finance role supports financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities across DePuy Synthes’ international markets. This position plays a key role in enabling informed decision‑making by providing accurate financial insights, supporting monthly and quarterly close activities, and partnering with regional and functional stakeholders. The role offers strong exposure to global finance operations within a leading orthopedic organization and opportunities to build a broad foundation in international finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support international financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes across assigned markets or regions.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including variance analysis versus plan, forecast, and prior periods.

  • Partner with regional finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support business performance reviews.

  • Assist with standard cost, margin, and expense analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Support close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting deliverables.

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Operations teams on financial initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

  • Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in a multinational or matrixed environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights clearly.

  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (e.g., ERP or planning tools).

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional and international stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting international or regional finance operations.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS principles.

  • Prior experience in a healthcare, medical device, or manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to financial systems such as SAP, Hyperion, or similar tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Other:

  • Language requirements: Fluency in English required; additional European language(s) preferred.

  • Travel: Up to 10% international travel may be required.

  • Certifications: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (preferred).

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€43,200.00 - €68,885.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
