The Regional Supply Chain Planner, APAC is responsible for carrying out regional demand & supply planning processes for Medtech business in the region.

This position will be responsible for ensuring timely product and instrument availability and coordinating with global Plan team and weekly/monthly customer service updates.

This position ensures the planning processes remain integrated with business priorities by deploying process excellence tools and techniques, collaboration with various partners and deploying a robust communication strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end (E2E) supply chain initiatives aligned with Surgery SC strategy, leveraging advanced digital tools (Python, Power BI, KNIME, Copilot) to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Independently manage operational planning activities across the E2E network with clear ownership of service, inventory, and cost metrics
  • Drive supply chain optimization, synchronization, and recovery strategies with quantifiable impact (e.g., service level improvement, inventory reduction)
  • Proactively assess multi-echelon supply chain risks and disruptions; develop and implement prioritized mitigation plans balancing service, cost, and risk trade-offs
  • Own and deliver key workstreams within E2E transformation and continuous improvement programs with minimal supervision
  • Actively involve discussions in IBP forums (Integrated Reconciliation, Supply Review), providing data-driven insights and clear recommendations on risks and opportunities
  • Identify structural gaps in current planning processes and implement scalable, standardized solutions to enhance E2E performance

  • Strong, hands-on understanding of E2E supply chain planning (demand, supply, inventory, deployment) with ability to apply concepts in real-world scenarios
  • Advanced analytical capability with proven ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business decisions
  • Demonstrated structured problem-solving (e.g., root cause analysis, scenario planning, prioritization under constraints)
  • Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to challenge and align diverse functions under pressure

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field) strongly preferred
  • Solid academic foundation in supply chain planning, operations research, or analytics
  • Formal exposure to IBP/S&OP processes is strongly preferred

Professional Experience:

  • Experience in supply chain, planning, operations, or analytics (internship or full-time)
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, operations, or analytics (no longer “internship level”)
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in supply chain performance (service, cost, inventory)
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments
  • Experience in leading or owning projects/process improvement initiatives end-to-end

Digital Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., Power Query, complex modeling), Power BI (dashboard development)
  • Hands-on experience in ERP (SAP preferred) and Advanced Planning Systems (APO, OMP, or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation
  • Experience with workflow/data platforms (KNIME or equivalent) to automate processes
  • Proven ability to manage, clean, and analyze large datasets, and translate outputs into business actions
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., Copilot) and ability to integrate into workflow
  • Ability to manage and interpret large datasets and translate into business insights
