We are searching for the best talent to us as a Junior Quality Lab Scientist (m/w/d), fixed-term in Norderstedt, Germany.

Purpose:

This role is responsible for executing and supporting Quality Operations Laboratory initiatives, ensuring compliance with J&J and international standards while driving continuous improvement and best practices. You will contribute to the implementation of equipment qualification, validation activities, and data integrity, while supporting compliant and efficient laboratory operations in a regulated environment.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting and executing Quality Operations projects, including equipment qualification, test method validation, and computer system validation in compliance with regulatory and J&J standards

• Supporting compliance initiatives by implementing actions resulting from new standards, audits, non-conformances, and CAPAs

• Contributing to continuous improvement projects (e.g. cost improvement, system changes, LEAN initiatives, new software systems) and supporting change management processes

• Supporting laboratory governance by establishing and maintaining data integrity for laboratory equipment and systems in line with regulatory requirements

• Analyzing analytical (and if applicable microbiological) data to identify quality trends and support risk-based decisions and improvement initiatives

• Acting as subject matter support for laboratory systems (e.g. LIMS), including usage, compliance implementation, and process improvements

• Collaborating with supervisors and cross-functional stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and implement process improvement initiatives and laboratory projects

• Supporting audits, CAPA and Non-Conformance activities, and maintaining strong collaboration with Quality, Compliance, and Manufacturing teams

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience in GxP regulated environments with knowledge of relevant quality and regulatory standards (e.g. GMP, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820)

• Strong analytical and methodical problem-solving capabilities

• Experience supporting quality lab activities such as validation, qualification, or compliance-related processes

• Strong computer skills and experience with software applications (e.g. LIMS, Microsoft Office)

• Professional working proficiency in both German and English

• Demonstrated ability to manage tasks independently and support structured project execution

• Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams

This position falls under remuneration groups E11- E12 (Chemical Industry Collective Agreement - Chemietarifvertrag).

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€43.600,00 - €70.725,00
