Position Summary

Senior Manager Deployment Excellence will be the owner of the Enterprise Standards for Solution Validation and Business Ramp-up and Cutover. The role will be responsible for training and mentoring individuals responsible for this work within projects supported. The person hired for this position will have responsibility for interviewing, recommending hiring, onboarding and managing contract resources that execute daily tactical work within projects when additional staffing is needed. Strategy and plans will be developed by the position holder for projects as needed.

The Senior Manager - Deployment Excellence plays a key role in leading the execution of key responsibilities related to the evolution, maintenance, and implementation of Deployment Excellence Standards and associated activities inclusive of solution validation, business ramp-up, cutover, hypercare and project/program management.

Own, Develop, Maintain, and Implement Deployment Excellence Standards: In collaboration with Director of Enterprise Deployment and Data Excellence this role is accountable for continuously evolving standards and methodologies to incorporate AI‑enabled technologies that increase efficiency, improve delivery predictability, and strengthen program and project outcomes.

Digital First: The role drives a digital‑first, outcomes‑oriented mindset, leveraging automation, analytics, AI‑enabled validation, and standardized playbooks to reduce cost, variability, and dependency on manual execution, while improving speed, quality, and confidence in deployment outcomes.

Lead Center of Excellence for SC Deployment Excellence: Aid in fostering awareness and education within the Center of Excellence, helping to promote best practices and services related to Deployment Excellence Standards.

Facilitate Collaboration: Assist in facilitating ongoing collaboration with SC Excellence, JJT, and Stakeholders. Contribute to staying informed about Capability Solution roadmaps, providing feedback, and sharing knowledge to enhance the utilization of SC Excellence services.

External Provider Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with external providers, helping to identify and onboard external resources efficiently when required to ensure Deployment Excellence aligns with stakeholder expectations. Ensure available set of resources with required skills to quickly address project needs.

Resource Management Oversight: Efficiently oversee both internal and external teams to ensure clear visibility and the successful delivery of Deployment services, maintaining alignment with organizational objectives.

Engagement Model Oversight: Leads in proactively managing an effective engagement model with Functional Centers of Excellence (CoE's) and Business Partners, particularly focusing on the benefits and status of emerging technologies to meet their business needs.

GxP Standards Compliance: Leads efforts to ensure compliance with GxP standards and regulations governing document management.

Assessments and Process Excellence Participation: Participation in assessments and process excellence opportunities, identifying team members with expertise to support these initiatives and focusing on operational optimization, technological efficiency, and quality improvements.

Collaborative Relationship Maintenance: Help maintain collaborative working relationships with teams across the supply chain network to maximize Resource Management effectiveness.

Promote Common Understanding of Deployment: Collaborate across SC Excellence developing and promoting a consistent deployment understanding through partnership engagements, proactive stage gate oversight, and input to ensure alignment of objectives and expectations across all relevant parties.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proactive Leadership in Deployment Excellence Standards: Take a proactive leadership role in the development, continuous maintenance, and successful implementation of Deployment Excellence Standards. This includes development, implementation and maintaining Deployment Excellence Standards to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Trends and Regulations Guidance: Stay abreast of industry trends and regulations, offering guidance for necessary updates to Deployment Excellence Standards to maintain their relevance and compliance.
  • Resource Planning and Allocation: Develop adaptable resource tools/plans that cater to both present and future needs. Ensure that resource allocation aligns with the organization's objectives and evolving demands.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Expectation Management: Manage and engage major stakeholders effectively, ensuring that project outcomes align with expectations. Effectively manage and communicate with customers to set and manage expectations throughout projects.
  • Budget Management and Input: Manage budgets assigned to your area of responsibility, providing input to ensure they meet the financial expectations of the organization.
  • Collaboration and Best Practice Sharing: Actively engage in ongoing collaboration across SC Excellence, Innovative Medicine, MT Supply Chains, and JJT. Stay informed about Solution roadmaps and identify and share best practices between teams, enhancing the support services for deployments across the supply chain.
  • Relationship Management with External Providers: Maintain and nurture working relationships with external providers to swiftly identify and onboard external resources when needed. Ensure seamless integration of external expertise to support your initiatives and projects. Maintain clear SLAs and track service improvements to demonstrate increased value.

Deploy Excellence Service Execution

  • Deployment Excellence Center of Excellence: Support Center of Excellence
  • for Deployment Excellence, facilitating stakeholder engagement and providing
  • support in resource requirements. Identify and engage qualified subject matter
  • experts as needed to execute and support the center's activities.
  • Continuous Improvement Leadership: Lead initiatives aimed at driving
  • continuous improvement, optimizing project execution, and delivering exceptional Outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of excellence within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience of delivering large scale complex system deployments
  • Strong communication skills and change management
  • Knowledge of GxP and SOX requirements and regulations
  • Previous experience in working within a support organization with a knowledge of functional and matrix structures.
  • Proven success in building and developing a high performing team
  • Ability to manage multiple team members on a matrix basis
  • Strong and proven project & program management experience
  • Managing risk, including escalation, prioritization and resolution of systems and support issues and developing and managing responses
  • Showing initiative in innovative approaches to challenges in a fast-paced, changing global environment
  • Building strong partnerships with Source/R&D/Plan/Make/Deliver/Supply Chain
  • Building consensus and impacting outcome with authority and ability to negotiate trade off decisions across the organization
  • Must have strong collaboration and influencing skills to partner effectively at all levels and across multiple groups
  • Strong relationship development, conflict resolution, and team building instincts, with the ability to build partnerships and collaborate both internally and externally.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain deployment methodology is preferred
  • Functional knowledge of/and experience in systems within Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals, Consumer or other healthcare regulated sectors preferred
  • FPX project execution capabilities
  • Managing programs in a complex matrixed environment
  • Six Sigma/LEAN certification preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of systems
  • Business acumen and/ or financial background
  • Adaptability, Flexibility to adjust in response to changing environments.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
