THE OPPORTUNITY

At Johnson and Johnson, we are dedicated to addressing and solving some of the most important unmet medical needs of our time. As the National Business Manager, Solid Tumours you will play a pivotal leadership role, leading and coaching a diverse team of Account Managers, working on in-market and launching oncology treatments.

This position requires an experienced manager with a depth of expertise in driving high-performing teams and commercial success in a complex, highly competitive and matrixed environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering national business results through a proven ability to guide, motivate, and develop a team of professionals, with the ultimate aim of achieving optimal patient outcomes. This leadership position requires someone who can leverage their extensive background in sales and people management to enhance customer awareness, knowledge, and understanding of the company's products and services, while forging strong, lasting partnerships across the sector, and functions achieving high levels of engagement and impactful cross-functional relationships.

A passion for innovation, a history of building high-trust relationships, and a reputation for consistently achieving ambitious targets are essential for success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct leadership of a team of 8 experienced account managers, requiring strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Shape and execute national sales and brand strategies, using your expertise to drive awareness and accelerate adoption of J&J Solid Tumours Portfolio.
  • Lead the execution of national plans, demonstrating agility and experience in responding to market trends and lead indicators.
  • Market development: With curiosity you will scope out the opportunity in the solid tumour space identifying where JnJ needs to prioritize its focus in order to successfully deliver the financial results, and unlock future potential opportunities
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring the development and implementation of high-quality state and account plans that deliver value for customers, patients, and Johnson & Johnson.
  • Take ownership of your own professional development as well as that of your team members, proactively establishing and reviewing development plans to ensure continuous growth and high performance.
  • Coach Account Managers to excel, embedding ongoing development of advanced selling, key account management, and deep therapeutic area/product knowledge.
  • Core member of solid tumours cross-functional leadership team, driving insights from the field to inform strategies and tactics. Provide input into business plan, sales strategy, budget, as well as provide inputs into the organization’s strategic planning process.
  • Full ownership of sales team Travel & Expenses budget

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum of bachelor degree in business or life science required
  • Essential experience within pharmaceutical industry, preferred oncology experience
  • Previous experience in sales and people management is essential, with a clear record of managing teams and delivering results, in complex or fast-evolving environments.
  • Customer focused orientation, with a collaborative, results-orientated style, and approach.
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic planning & achievement drive. Successful track record in leading with influence in a matrixed cross-functional environment
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and bring out the best in people, with a history of leading high-performing teams, and fostering a culture of coaching for performance.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a track record of building and maintaining successful business relationships.
  • High integrity and work ethics, in line with our company's core values.
