Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr Manager, Commercial Asset Intake, located in the United States.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Asset Redeployment & Field Optimization will lead commercial-facing activities supporting the global redeployment and asset optimization strategy. This role is responsible for identifying excess or underutilized field assets through entitlement models, lifecycle management insights, and commercial performance analysis, while partnering closely with internal and external sales organizations to facilitate targeted asset pullback activities.

The position will serve as a critical link between commercial teams and global redeployment operations by ensuring clear visibility to projected asset returns, timing, and redeployment opportunities. The role will also support the development of scalable best practices, governance, and operating mechanisms that enable the global expansion of redeployment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Field Asset Identification & Optimization

  • Utilize entitlement models, lifecycle management views, and commercial insights to identify excess or underutilized field assets suitable for redeployment.

  • Partner with commercial leadership and asset management teams to establish pullback targets and prioritization frameworks.

  • Support the optimization of field asset deployment strategies to improve utilization and capital efficiency.

Commercial Pullback Execution

  • Partner with internal and external sales organizations to coordinate targeted pullback activities from the field.

  • Drive alignment across commercial stakeholders to ensure successful execution of redeployment initiatives while minimizing customer disruption.

  • Monitor pullback progress and escalate risks or execution gaps as needed.

Redeployment Planning & Visibility

  • Ensure accurate visibility to projected asset returns, timing, and intake volumes to support global redeployment planning processes.

  • Partner with planning and redeployment teams to align expected asset availability with global redeployment priorities and market demand.

  • Support forecasting and reporting processes related to asset intake and redeployment pipelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance

  • Collaborate across Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, and Asset Management teams to align on redeployment objectives and execution plans.

  • Support governance forums and operating cadences related to asset optimization and redeployment activities.

  • Facilitate communication and alignment between field organizations and central redeployment teams.

  • Ensure redeployment activities comply with applicable regulatory, quality, and cross-border trade requirements.

Process Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and standardize best practices for asset identification, pullback execution, and intake planning.

  • Support the scaling of redeployment capabilities through process improvement and operating model development.

  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility, execution speed, and overall redeployment effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Planning, S&OP, Demand Planning, or Inventory Management or other Business roles.

  • Strong analytical capability to understand sophisticated demand planning topics, identify patterns and drivers, and implement data-driven changes to improve forecast accuracy and reliability.

  • Strong communication, advocacy, and decision-making skills with the ability to collaborate across geographies in a complex, matrix environment.

  • People leadership skills, including the ability to develop and lead diverse teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

  • Proven expertise in process management and leading cross-functional global projects.

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (preferred).

  • Demonstrated financial acuity, with the ability to link operational decisions to business financial outcomes, including cost optimization and capital efficiency.

Other

  • Language: English required; additional languages are a plus.

  • Travel: Minimal domestic travel.

  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).


Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
