Ethicon WCH is the global leader in the science of developing mechanical would closure solutions to the MedTech market leaders in surgical tissue healing.

Key Responsibilities:

Based in Brazil, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive global initiatives across product families manufactured in 9 sites worldwide, influencing outcomes that directly impact supply continuity, quality, cost reduction and innovation.

As a project leader, you will:

  • Lead cross-functional, global teams, partnering with subject matter experts and key stakeholders, including Global Supply Chain Directors, VP-level leadership, and Value Stream leaders
  • Drive project strategy and execution of complex technical projects, applying strong engineering principles, GMP, and data-driven decision-making
  • Solve critical technical challenges, bring forward innovative solutions, and shape project direction with a high degree of ownership

This role provides significant visibility, influence, and leadership exposure in a global environment, making it ideal for candidates looking to expand their impact beyond a local scope.

The Global TechOps Engineer is responsible for project leadership of Lifecycle Management and New Product Development projects with focus on direct materials and components manufactured by external partners. Functioning as Project lead or an integral member of a development team applying engineering principles, good manufacturing practices, statistics & judgment to resolve major technical issues, generate creative solutions, identify skill set and team for project plan and execution.

Partnering with New and Existing Product multi-disciplinary teams and external suppliers to develop and implement projects of low to high complexity change enhancing supply reliability and improving customer experience.

Writing technical protocols and reports ensuring compliance with franchise procedures as well as regulations.

Evaluating and updating documentation for direct material and components changes while creating or change component drawings and specifications.

Supporting supplier process qualification and internal process verification/validation activities.

Other related duties maybe assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 2 or more years of experience is working in industry required

Pos Graduation/MBA in Packaging Engineering and/or Project Management is preferred.

Minimal 1 year of engineering experience of Equipment/Packaging/Product (material, technologies, and process) and project management including but not limited to project team leadership, scope and budget control is required

Experience in design change plan and execution and process confirmation project is preferred

Knowledge of Manufacturing processes is required

A proficient understanding of GMPs, ISO standards, and related standards and regulations is required.

Experience in Medical Device or a Regulated Industry is preferred

Knowledge of sterile barrier packaging systems and design verification including ASTM or ISTA test methods ISO 11607 knowledge and experience is desired

Experience with component suppliers and qualifications is preferred

Demonstrated results in Quality Control, Compliance, and Regulatory is preferred

FPX, Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Process Excellence is preferred

Advanced English Language proficiency is required.

Soft Skills

E2E mindset and behavior, agent of change, open mind, ownership, is required

External partners and Procurement interaction experience is desirable
