Job Description:

Creates a plan to achieve objectives through sales and servicing of multiple physician and healthcare professional accounts in a prescribed territory. Schedules appointments and makes preplanned sales presentations to customers. Initiates contact and schedules appointments with potential new customers. Makes regular visits to customer locations to gather information on orders and market conditions. Identifies customer needs and recommends new products to address them. Develops customer and product focused presentation packages for sales. Prepares sales reports and documents as required. Follows up with customers to resolve any issues and ensure satisfaction. Collaborates with other departments to ensure a timely resolution. Provides input to sales forecast and submits to management. Relays relevant market information to management. Identifies potential impacts to business. Recommends areas for future growth. This job is eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions.

The Customer Development Executive is responsible for driving sustainable sales growth and expanding market share for the Vision Care portfolio within an assigned territory. This role plays a critical part in building strong partnerships with healthcare professionals and key accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering customer-focused solutions that support business objectives. Success in this role requires proactive territory management, strong relationship-building skills, flawless execution, and a results-oriented mindset. This position is eligible for sales incentives and commissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve sales targets, accelerate growth, and enhance market penetration.

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with ophthalmologists, optometrists, clinics, hospitals, optical retailers, and other healthcare professionals within the assigned territory.

  • Conduct regular customer visits, deliver impactful product presentations, and tailor solutions to address customer needs and business opportunities.

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and onboard new customers to expand market coverage and drive incremental sales growth.

  • Gather, analyze, and communicate market intelligence, including customer insights, competitive activities, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.

  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate Vision Care products and solutions that support both business outcomes and patient care.

  • Execute trade promotions, marketing campaigns, and commercial initiatives effectively to maximize product adoption and customer engagement.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues effectively, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance, to ensure seamless execution and timely resolution of customer needs.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account updates, and submit reports in a timely manner.

  • Contribute to sales forecasting and provide relevant business insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

  • Identify potential business risks and opportunities and recommend actions to drive sustainable growth and improved performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in a multinational environment, preferably within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, FMCG, healthcare, or retail industries.

  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience in field sales, account management, and new account acquisition.

  • Exposure to optical, eye care, healthcare, or related channels is advantageous but not essential.

  • Strong communication, influencing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment.
