Job Description:

  • SAP S/4HANA Finance Application Reliability Lead

At J&J MedTech, we are modernizing our ERP landscape by transitioning from traditional solutions to SAP S/4HANA, enabling our MedTech business to advance its digital transformation.

We are recruiting for the role of AMS Finance Function Module Lead.

In this role, you will support application maintenance for the global SAP S/4HANA Finance system and help ensure reliable, efficient service recovery when disruptions occur. You will be responsible for service level management, application and technology portfolio management, incident and problem management, knowledge management, compliance activities, continuous service improvement, and optimizing application maintenance through intelligent automation and artificial intelligence.

Our team brings together technology professionals across multiple locations. Based in Beerse or Diegem, Belgium, Maidenhead, UK, or Limerick, Ireland, you will collaborate closely with business partners, Product Line Owners, application teams, infrastructure partners, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Service Reliability, Availability and Capacity

  • Ensure reliable and predictable application services through proactive monitoring of availability, performance, and capacity, in close collaboration with application and infrastructure teams
  • Oversee the overall process to ensure that requests are accurately documented and assigned to the appropriate teams for resolution, facilitating efficient handling and tracking.

Major Incident Coordination

  • Coordinate major incident response to restore services quickly and minimize business impact through effective collaboration and clear communication with resolver teams and vendors

Problem Management

  • Own end to end Problem Management across the application portfolio, driving effective root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce repeat incidents and operational risk

Observability and Automation

  • Drive observability maturity by proactively reviewing system health, performance, and capacity indicators to detect risks early and prevent service degradation
  • Continuously evaluate and refine processes to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction with focus on intelligent automation, shift left to self-service and maximize the use of artificial intelligence solutions.

Operational Governance & Continuous Service Improvement

  • Provide governance and oversight across core service management, security, change, knowledge, vendor, and continuous improvement processes to ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient operations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in IT Service Management, Application Operations, Reliability Engineering, or Production Support roles within large enterprise environments.
  • 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience supporting ERP applications in a production environment, preferably within Supply Chain, Finance
  • Practical understanding of ITIL practices, particularly Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Service Level Management.
  • Experience working in multi‑supplier environments and coordinating vendor performance.
  • Good communication skills, including structured communication during incidents.

SAP / S4 HANA Experience

  • Experience triaging operational issues across applications, system integrations, background jobs, performance, and capacity.
  • Understanding of SAP S/4 Finance Configuration & Maintenance
  • Hands‑on experience performing proactive SAP system health, performance, and capacity reviews to drive preventive and corrective operational actions.
  • Ability to assess business impact of incidents across Finance operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP FICO professional certification, with demonstrated experience supporting related integrations, including Vertex and Indirect Tax Chain Flow Accelerator.
  • Exposure to monitoring, observability, or automation practices.
  • Certifications such as reliability/SRE‑related training.
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare or life sciences).
  • Applied AI / genAI fluency and technical understanding, helping translate concepts into real‑world use cases

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€72,500.00 - €115,230.00

Benefits:

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
