Head of Finance and Key Accounts Manager, MedTech Surgery Greece

Location: Athens, Greece

Contract type: Full time, permanent

Role Purpose

Reporting into the Senior Finance Director, MedTech Surgery MSM, the Head of Finance and Key Accounts Manager Greece, will provide strategic leadership to the Surgery business in driving profitable growth through choiceful allocation of resources, providing planning and forecasting expertise in line with overall BU strategy, and act as a key member of the MSM Surgery Finance Leadership Team.

In addition, the incumbent will manage the commercial relationship with key accounts/Distributors in Greece to support sustainable growth and healthy cash flow generation. The combination of finance and commercial responsibilities makes this role a unique opportunity for strong talents with aspirations to grow in finance or in commercial business leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic finance leader of the Surgery Business Unit in Greece

As member of the Surgery Leadership Team in Greece, the Head of Finance plays a pivotal role in enabling cost-efficient, profitable and compliant growth of the business, in line with global strategy.

  • Shape and deliver business strategy and action to maximize value from portfolio over the long term, by delivering data analysis and insights and partnering with business for added value decisions. This includes planning of revenue, resource allocation, optimization of working capital and the management of financial risks and opportunities,
  • Convert global portfolio strategy into country specific strategic framework: develop, implement and supervise growth plans accordingly.
  • Contribute to programs, processes, and organizational capabilities to achieve business objectives related to Cash Flow, Asset Management, and Opex controlling, collaborating extensively with regional, global, and local supply chain, commercial, and finance teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong business partnership with the Local Leadership Team and the overall organization to ensure sustainable business growth in full compliance of Johnson & Johnson corporate finance policies, procedures and guidance.
  • Bring external perspectives in the decision making process and leverage on digital technologies to standardize/automate repetitive activities.

Management of Key Accounts.

This position will take responsibility to ensure execution of strategic initiatives and business goals. The role involves building relationships with those distributor partners to maximize market reach and enhance the effectiveness of their sales operations in in Greece & Cyprus.

  • Develop targets and growth plans in partnership with the Distributors based upon strategic insights and J&J aspirations.
  • Evaluation and setting of sales targets for distributors.
  • Collaborating closely with operations to ensure seamless product availability by aligning sales forecasts with order fulfillment.
  • Monitoring profitability and SGP, and setting/adjusting all advanced distributor price lists for the given portfolio.
  • Providing guidance to distributor sales forces in the field and overseeing sales strategy execution.
  • Keeping distributor sales teams informed about product and procedural knowledge, as well as industry developments and market trends, to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Maintain strong partnerships based on trust and aligned agendas.
  • Drive accountability on performance and ensure highest standards of compliance are met.
  • Maintain healthy cash flow and ensure contractually agreed payment terms are respected.
  • Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into goals and decision-making.

Lead a high performing team and inspire change management.

This role will lead a team of 1 to 2 direct reports providing financial and commercial expertise across key components driving portfolio decisions and profitable growth of the Surgery business in Greece. As member of the MSM Surgery finance leadership team, this position will actively sponsor and contribute to EMEA wide team agenda.

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with CPA, CIMA or other financial certification, with significant post qualified financial experience.
  • English and Greek language essential
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in similar field
  • Strong influencer, independent thinker, ability to shape the business to long term success
  • Resilience and ability to drive outcomes in heavily matrixed complex organizations
  • Strong BUF, FP&A, controlling acumen across various tiers and functions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration, partnership
  • A proactive attitude with a high level of ownership, business acumen, and focus on achieving goals
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to identify and respond quickly to opportunities and challenges
  • Experience in managing distributors and key accounts
  • Ability to adapt and pivot to change
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently present complex information to all levels of the organization required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€68,500.00 - €116,035.00
